An Octopus At School

This octopus is a statue in a garden, a square where a lemon tree, an orange tree, a bougainvillea and cyprus grass grow. It represents the nature on the coast in the warm countries around the Mediterranean sea. The octopus stands in the middle of a second little square which was full of water, of course it symbolizes the sea (now ther are pebbles and grass) with the life in it. This animals with 8 tentacles shows us 8 different ways of life beneath the waves

• Shells• Sea animals/starfish, star anemonl• Sea mammals / cetaceans• Plankton• Coral• Insects• Weeds • Reptils

This octopus is made of metal. It’s big. It seems as if it is in mouvement. Its tentacles are lifting to the sun.It is a giant. It is larger than a real one. Here, on our coast we can find this animal in the rocks.

Video chanson des Beatles : Octopus’ garden

2_The song Octopus’ garden

I’d like to be under the seaIn an octopus’ garden in the shadeHe’d let us in, knw where we’ve beenIn an octopus’ garden in the shade

I’d ask my friends to come and seeAn octopus’ garden with meI’d like to be, under the seaIn an octopus’ garden in the shade

We would warm bleow the stormIn our little hideaway beneath the wavesResting our head on the sea bedIn an octopus’ garden near a cave

We would sing and dance aroundBecause we know we can’t be foundI’d like to be, under the seaIn an octopus’ garden in the shade

We would shout and swim aboutThe coral that lies beneath the wavesOh what joy for every girl and boyKnowing they’re happy and they’re safe

We would be so happy you and meNo one there to tell us what to doI’d like to be under the seaIn an octopus’ garden with you

Pupils’ texts : I’d like to be under the sea...1. Les textes si j’étais sous la mer

If I live in the octopus’ garden, I won’t go to shool, I can’t eat and drink, I will be a sea animal. I will not be a person but a cetacean or an octopus. We will live by water and plankton. I won’t have legs and foot

I’d go to visit under the sea, for wild life with animals of the sea. I’d look at this country and rejoin the fishes. In fact, I go to the octopus’ garden and go to my new life

If I go under the waves, I will be able to live differently and I won’t have to go to shool. I could meet animals of the sea. I would be free to do what I want. Nobody will give me orders and lessons. I could dream of the world that I want , with my friends

We will be in the wonderful garden. I will be able to walk on the river. There will beautiful Flowers still never seen. Anel in the middle of the garden a marvellous octopus, with his eight enormous tantencles. I will be able to hear the noises of his tantencles in the sea. A so beautiful garden.

if I go under the sea, I'll be able to visit boton marins. I ll be able to see fish, corals, shells, and a shark. If I go under the sea, the life would be less difficult. I’d like to be under the sea, the life would be good and quiet.

I’d like to live in a house with a garden where there's an octopus. I could have an octopus with me. I would have an octopus in the sea.

Boats restoration stages

1) The transport: it’s a delicate step.2) The arrival at the boat workshop: the staff do an exam of the canoe.3) Study of files: the historic documentation allows them to have a visualization of the canoe in its origin.4) Find the goals of the restoration: where they must restore the boat. 5) Taking down of the canoe.6) Modelization of the boat in 3D.7) Search of the good wood and woodwork to restore the old, worn-out, destroy pieces. 8) The wood is painted and polished.9) Reconstruction of the boat.10) Finishing.
