Disposingofatrappedmouseorrodentisanextremelyunpleasanttask.Ifcaughtinaconventionalspringloadedtrap,therodentisusuallykilledupontriggeringthetrap,however,theforceofthespringhasatendencytobreakthemouse'sskinandexposebloodandpossiblysomeinternalorgans.If,ontheotherhand,themouseiscaughtinthenewerstickytypetrap,itisusuallystillaliveandviolentlytwistingwhilestrugglingtofreeitself,tothepointwherelimbsbecomebroken,deformedandpossiblyseparated.Thus,disposingofarodentcaughtinaspringloadedtrapisdirty,smellyifnotrecentlydiscovered,andpotentiallyhazardous,whiledisposalofarodentcaughtinthesticky-typetrapcanbequiteinhumaneasthepersondisposingofthedeformed,whimperingmousemustobserveitsagonyasheorshegraspstheedgeofthetrap….

Whatisneededtocurethedeficienciesinherentinthestickytypetrapisadisposable,substantiallyobliquehousingforthetrap.Thetrapadditionallyshouldhaveasmallwindowtocheckforoccupancyandahandleprovidingaclosuremeansaswellasacarryingmeansforthehousing.Atrapsuchasthiswouldtherebypreventdirectvisionofthetrappedmouseorrodent.Thenewtrapshouldalsobeconstructedinexpensivelysothatthedisposabilityofthetrapiseconomicallyfeasible.Thepresentinventionfulfilstheseandotherconsiderationsnotaddressedinthepriorart.

Thepresentinventionrelatestoamousetrap.Moreparticularly,thisinventionrelatestoamousetrapthatisdisposableandhasaopaquehousingwithatranslucentwindow,preventingunintendedviewofthetrappedrodentbutallowingquickintendedviewingforcheckingifthetrapisoccupied.Thisinventionisasubstantialimprovementtoexistingstickytypemouseandrodenttraps.Insteadofhavinganexposedtrayoftrappingadhesive,ascommonlyusedtoday,thisinventionenclosestheareaofadhesivewithinanopaquehousing,therebypreventingfeet,smallchildren,oreventheearofanappingdogfrombecomingaccidentallyattached.Thehousing,whilepreventinginadvertentattachment,additionallyprovidesashieldprecludingapersonfromdirectlylookingatorincidentallytouchingthetrappedrodentwhiledisposingofthetrap.Whilethehousingofthetrapisopaquetopreventunintendedviewingofthetrappedanimal,asmallsectionistranslucent,allowingthetraptobeperiodicallycheckedsoatrappedrodentcanbedisposedofquickly….

Tofurtherassistindisposingofthetrap,thehousingisonlyopenonasingleside,withitsopensidecontainingadrawstringtypehandle.Thus,thedisposercanmerelypullthehandleandtheopensideofthehousingwillclose,encasingthetrappedrodentwithinthehousingofthetrap.Itisthereforeanobjectofthisinventiontoprovideatrapwhichisinexpensiveanddisposable.Itisafurtherobjectofthisinventiontoprovideatrapwhichisconcealedwithinasubstantiallyopaquehousingtopreventunintendedviewingofatrappedrodent.Itisstillanotherobjectofthisinventiontoprovideatrapwhichhasasmallviewingportiontovisuallycheckifthetraphascaughtarodentandisinneedofdisposal.Itisstillafurtherobjectofthisinventiontoprovideatrapwhichhasonlyoneopeningsuchthatadrawstringtypehandlecanclosethetrapwithasinglepull.Itisyetanotherobjectofthisinventiontoprotectunintendedanimalsandpeoplefrombecomeaccidentallyadhesed tothetrap.
