DAY1 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - USHUAIA

Check in between 10:00 and 16:00 at 409 San Martín Street. Board the M/V Stella Australis cruise ship at 17:30. After a welcoming cocktail reception hosted by the Captain and his crew, the M/V Stella Australis will depart for one of the remotest parts of the planet. Our voyage will take us through the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel to explore one of the most breathta-king wilderness regions in the world: Southern Patago-nia, which includes the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.

DAY 2 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - CAPE HORN & WULAIA

BAY

We will be sailing through Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach Cape Horn National Park, where, weather permitting, we shall go ashore. The legendary Cape Horn was discovered in 1616 and is a sheer 425-meter (1,394-foot) high rocky promontory. For many years it was an important navigation route between the Pacific and the Atlantic, and is referred to as the ‘End of the Earth’. The park was declared a World Biosphere Reser-ve by UNESCO in 2005.In the afternoon, we will go ashore at historic Wulaia Bay, originally the site of one of the region’s largest Yamana aboriginal settlements. Charles Darwin landed there in 1833 during his voyage on the HMS Beagle. This area is also renowned for the mesmerizing beauty of its vegetation and geography. We will take an enchanted walk through the Magellan Forest of lengas, coigües, canelos, ferns, and other endemic vegetation, to reach a panoramic viewpoint.

DAY 3 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - DE AGOSTINI SOUND

We will be sailing through Brecknock, Ocasión, Cock-burn, and Magdalena Channels to enter the spectacu-lar De Agostini Sound, in the heart of the Darwin Mountain Range. This is where we shall see glaciers sliding down the mountainside all the way to the sea.In the afternoon, in well-equipped Zodiac boats, we will travel to the Águila Glacier where we will embark upon an easy walk to its base. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience the beauty of Patagonia’s cold rainforest and to see how the power of nature has molded the spectacular landscape.

DAY 4 - AUSTRALIS CRUISE - MAGDALENA ISLAND

Early in the morning, weather permitting, we will go ashore on Magdalena Island, located in the middle of the Strait of Magellan. The island used to be an essen-tial source of supplies for navigators and explorers and is inhabited by an immense colony of Magellan Penguins that we will be able to see during our walk to the lighthouse. In September and April, this excur-sion is replaced by a ride aboard Zodiacs to Marta Island to observe South American Sea Lions. Finally, disembarkation at Punta Arenas is scheduled for 11:30.

GLACIER GOURMET EXPERIENCE CRUISE

Transfer from the hotels in El Calafate to Paraje Punta Bandera. Boarding time at 9:00 a.m. at the company’s own dock “La Soledad” (Bahía Tranquila, Paraje Punta Bandera).

The navigation starts towards the northwest, crossing Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo, the narrowest passage in the lake with almost 800 meters.

After two hours of navigation, the series of ice floes, of the most varied colors and shapes, anticipates the proximity of Upsala glacier. We will stop in front of the barrier of ice floes which, at present, is blocking the entrance to Canal Upsala. If the weather conditions are good, we will observe the Upsala glaciers at the distance.

We continue navigating Lago Argentino towards the South, taking the Canal Spegazzini in order to reach the glacier that bears the same name. The navigation allows us to get closer to the glacier, which has front walls between 80 and 135 meters (262 – 443 feet) above lake level. Lunch is served amidst this stunning landscape.

Towards the afternoon, the Crucero Leal will arrive at Puesto de Las Vacas (an extremely quiet bay in the Canal Spegazzini), where its engines will be stopped to let passengers share an amusing walk coordinatedby our team of guides. In this stop, it is possible to see stunning panoramic views of the Spegazzini glacier.

Once onboard, we will return through Brazo Norte and get back to the boarding dock La Soledad at 6:00 p.m.

Note: the itinerary is subject to changes based on the captain criteria to guarantee the passengers safety.

Full day cruise to the glaciers in Los Glaciares National Park, visiting Upsala (barrier of ice !oes) and

B L DBreakfast Lunch Dinner

DAY 1 - SAN RAFAEL GLACIER TUESDAY OR FRIDAY

Arrival to El Calafate Airport. 7:30 p.m. we will transfer you to Bahia Tranquila, to board the cruise at the company’s own dock “La Soledad” (Bahía Tranquila, Paraje Punta Bandera). We will navigate to Bahia Alemana. On board activities included. Dinner and Night in Bahia Alemana.

DAY 2 - SAN RAFAEL GLACIER WEDNESDAY OR SATURDAY

At 9:00 a.m., we will start navigating towards the North, passing through Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo, which is the narrowest passage in the lake with around 800 meters. After one hour of navigation along Brazo Norte, we will see the series of ice floes, of the most varied colors and shapes, which anticipate the proximity of the stunning Upsala glacier. We will stop in front of barrier of ice floes which, at present, is blocking the entrance to Canal Upsala. If the weather conditions are good, we will observe the Upsala glaciers at the distance. The Upsala is 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) wide on the lake, its walls are 60 meters (197 feet) high on average, and its total surface is about 900 km2 (347 square miles), including its drainage basin.

We continue navigating Lago Argentino towards the South, taking the Canal Spegazzini for the next stop in front of Spegazzini glacier. The front walls are around 80 and 135 meters (262 – 443 feet). The Spegazzini looks like a huge icy river that descends from a rocky mountainside until it plunges into the lake. It is there, in front of this marvelous sight, where we will enjoy our first lunch.

Towards the afternoon, the Crucero Santa Cruz will arrive at Puesto Las Vacas (an extremely quiet bay in the Canal Spegazzini), where it will stop its engines to let us enjoy a long rest or a walk coordinatedby our team of guides. In this first stop, we will be able to see stunning panoramic views of the Spegazzini glacier.Once again on-board, we will enjoy a filling afternoon snack. The next destination will be Bahia del Toro, in Seno Mayo. After dinner, passengers can join some of the activities organized by the crew. A lively talk, sharing ideas and the feelings created during the day, or the observation of the constellation map on a moon night, are just perfect for ending the second day of our journey.

DAY 3 - SAN RAFAEL GLACIER THURSDAY OR SUNDAY

At dawn, while we navigate south, passengers will have breakfast. We will land once again and get into the Andean-Patagonian woods to experience the magnificent natural landscape of Mayo and Negro glaciers. There, we will get to exclusively know the continental ice shelter where many journeymen left their traces.

After crossing the Canal de los Témpanos, the Crucero will arrive at the most outstanding of the glaciers, the Perito Moreno, where we will travel around the 2.5 kilometer front (1.5 miles) on the lake. Its walls, which are almost 60 meters (197 feet) high, still surprise with numerous calvings and powerful sounds. We will have lunch surrounded by this spectacular natural landscape.

On the way back, while we navigate through Lago Argentino towards the company’s own dock La Soledad, we will have our farewell toast, the end of our journey. At 4 p.m., we will land and be transferred to El Calafate airport (you probably will need an extra night in El Calafate to connect with your flight)

B) Pays a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the trip. Payment shall be made to our international account or by bank transfer to our accounts with national banks

3. Reservation con$rmation: once A and B are completed so that the passenger’s reservation can be formalized, RIPIO EVT shall send the passenger via e-mail con$rmation of his reservation. A week before the trip, we shall send the passenger by e-mail information on the hotel, contact telephone numbers, list of passengers and related data in a voucher service.

4. Payment of the balance due: the balance due must be necessarily paid for before undertaking the trip. The balance due be paid in cash.

5. Prices: all prices advertised in the company’s publications are quoted in US dollars and subject to changes without prior notice. Passengers shall pay the price quoted at the moment the reservation is accepted. Prices shall not be subject to changes only if the trip is paid in full (in cash) when the reservation is made. Otherwise, the company reserves the right to change the $nal price of the program without prior notice. Such changes shall arise from market &uctuations that may a*ect the cost structure. All price increases shall be paid for prior to the date of departure.

6. Reservation changes: if the passenger wishes to make changes in a reservation that has already been con$rmed, he shall do so in writing. Passengers shall have to pay a penalty of U$S 50 per person when they make any such changes.

7. Reservation cancellation: cancellations shall be made in writing, without exception, and passengers shall be refunded the price of the trip after a deduction of cancellation charges. The cancellation date shall be the date RIPIO EVT. is dully noti$ed by the passenger. The sum to be refunded to the passenger shall be paid by the company at the company’s premises within 30 days of the date notice was given of the cancellation. If cancellation notice is received 30 days prior to departure, 30% of the down payment made on the reservation shall be deducted to cover administrative expenses. If notice is received within 30 days prior to departure, the company shall retain the total down payment.

8. Changes made by the company prior to departure: the company may change itineraries, services, departure dates, etc. either in order to provide a better service, or because of acts of God or unforeseen circumstances. Unforeseen circumstances include: strikes, earthquakes, civil war, quaranti-ne, revolutions, $res, adverse meteorological conditions, epidemics, bad road conditions o breakage’s, these being just illustrative. The company reserves the right to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances or because the minimum number of people required to participate in the program has not been reached. In such a case the passenger will be informed in writing and he may opt for:

a) Demanding that he be refunded the full price paid to us. b) Deciding on an alternative trip and pay an additional sum of money or get a refund, whatever the case may be, if there is a price di*erence.

9. Documentation: it is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain his visa to enter the country of destination. The company is not to be held responsi-ble if the passenger is refused, for reasons inherent to him, an entry visa or if entrance to a given country is not allowed because he has failed to comply with essential requirements or because there is something wrong with his passport. Any expenses arising thereof shall be fully borne by the passenger. The conditions set forth for voluntary cancellation of the service shall apply.

10. Luggage: the luggage and personal e*ects shall be, at all times, the passenger’s responsibility and at his own risk.

11. Services included: the company binds itself to render during the trip those services that are included and detailed in the information furnished in each program.

12. Services not included: the company is not bound to pay for incidentals, beverages, phone calls, laundry, tips, food during transportation, tickets for recreational centers, parks and natural reserves, etc., nor for any other service that has not been dully speci$ed in the program.

13. Unused services: the price of the program is quoted as a package, so no refund or compensation shall be given for non-use of certain services such as hotel stays, transportation, or any other service that is included in the trip and has not been used by the passenger.

14. The company acting as an “intermediary”: When the company acts as an intermediary between the passengers and transportation companies, hotels, medical coverage, restaurants, etc., and if any of them fails to provide services, it undertakes to take the necessary steps to assure successful completion of the trip such as hiring new service providers, withholding payments to those who failed to meet their obligations, etc. The company shall not be held responsible for services provided by third parties.

15. Health: Passengers must be in good health and physical condition. Passengers are responsible for having checkups and the company is not to be held responsible in case they have not been completed.. However, it is the passenger’s responsibility to bring along medicine that has been speci$cally prescribed to him.

16. Complaints: neither RIPIO EVT nor service providers shall accept a formal complaint unless it is made in writing within 15 days after the trip has ended.

17. Insurance: travel insurance is not included in the price of the program. RIPIO EVT strongly recommends passengers to get travel insurance.
