Verbs
Present Tense• The present tense of a verb shows an
action that happens at this moment or repeatedly.
• Example:– Underwater archaeologists explore many
places and things.
Past Tense
• The past tense shows an action that already happened. – “ed” or a helping verb is added to the verb
– Example: The ship submerged almost thousand years ago.
Future Tense
• The future tense shows an action that will take place in the future.– Will, shall, might, or may is used as a helping
verb.
– Example: The divers will investigate the wreck for several weeks.
