The amount of Ultraseal indicated in the tire charts has been calculated to provide proper coverage within specific tire sizes.

It is imperative that the proper amount of Ultraseal be installed for highway use. The Average Highway Use Chart isconsidered the minimum amount of Ultraseal. This provides the proper elasticity, reliability and protection for the tires.

Following the instructions supplied with the Manual Pump Kit #3610-46 will allow you to install the proper amount ofUltraseal into a fully inflated tire without air loss. One full stroke of the pump dispenses four units. The shaft of the pump iscalibrated in one-unit increments so that less than four units may be selected by sliding the unit selector to the desired

amount.

Highway speed vehicles: Always balance tires prior to installing Ultraseal.

Average Highway Use

This application amount is for high-speed vehicles and equipment that is used on the highway. In this application, the proper

amount of Ultraseal has been calculated for high speed, optimum safety and protection for the life of the tire.

Intermediate On/Off-Road Use

This application amount is for equipment that is used on and off highways; any equipment that is in an area of increased

exposure to punctures. The increased amount is additional reserve, which will provide for the repair of many additionalpunctures than the average tire is exposed to. Examples: construction vehicles, hunting vehicles, survey crew vehicles, utility

crew vehicles, golf carts, mowers, etc.

Extreme Off-Road Use

This application amount is for equipment that is constantly off road and is required to complete a daily job. Downtime is ahigh expense and it is a major catastrophe when a flat tire occurs. A second consideration is the additional life Ultraseal

provides in preserving the casings for additional retreads and the retardation of dry rot. Example: graders, tractors, backhoes.

Concerned about TPMS?Using Ultraseal in Vehiles Equiped with TPMS

In 2007 the Federal Government mandated that all new passenger cars sold in the US beequipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). Since that time,thousands of these tires have been successfully treated with Ultraseal TirelifeExtender/sealer.

We have continually tested and monitored Ultraseal-treated, TPMS-equipped vehicles toconfirm and verify compatibility. Data collected over the past 10 years indicatesthere is a minimum likelihood of Ultraseal causing system failures or damagingwheel sensors. The number of reports of TPMS warning lights being triggered issurprisingly low (less than 10 during this period). Of those, the majority were

corrected by simply adding air to the tire. There have been no claims that Ultrasealcaused failures resulting in sensor replacements.

If sealant were to partially block the sensor port it could temporarily restrict air passagecausing inaccurate pressure readings, possibly triggering a TPMS warning light.Ultraseal is water-dispersible and can be easily cleaned from the sensor with adamp cloth causing no permanent effects.

In an excerpt from a recent Tire Industry trade paper, the head of Sales and Marketingfrom one of the largest TPMS sensor manufacturers said that sensors are designedto be compatible with most of the common chemicals found in a service bay. Buttheyre not bulletproof. In the event of a clogged sensor, do not attempt to clean thesensor port with a sharp object. In a related topic, Tire Review Magazine said thatsensor batteries can last as long as 10 years or as little as 3 to 5 years dependingon their design. There are 200 million sensors on the road today with 35% alreadynearing the end of their useful battery life. It is estimated that 9 million sensors willneed replacement within the next 2 years.

The point is there are numerous situations besides the use of tire sealants that cancause a TPMS warning lamp to be triggered.

Major European auto manufactures are offering sealants as part of their standard OEMpackage to offset the recent departure of the spare tire in many of their vehicles.

They fully understand the functional benefit of using a sealant and accept aminimal risk to the sensor.Top
