Fr. Keith’s KornerFr. Keith’s KornerFr. Keith’s KornerFr. Keith’s Korner Last Sunday we were blessed as a parish with

the cancellation of the nearby Tough Mudder race so that everyone could get to Mass without traffic gridlock, and a beautiful day for our parish picnic in Clover Hill Park. The picnic ran smoothly, thanks to so many people who took responsibility for individual parts. We thank all of them, and especially coordinators Cindy Mulick and Jodie Auteri, for enabling us to inaugurate the fall season of activities. Special thanks to members of the Knights of Columbus who were willing to guard the entrances to our parking lots (starting at 5:30 AM!) to make sure our parishioners had a place to park… until we heard the race was cancelled. I’m happy to report that registration for our eight-session JustMatters course on Immigration is full and has been closed. There is still room to sign up for our sessions on the process of grieving and conversational Spanish that are taking place this fall. You are also encouraged to sign up to donate blood on Saturday 6 October and help us to fill all the appointment slots. The process went so much smoother at our last drive! Beginning this weekend, the bulletin will include an insert entitled “Review in the Pew” every other week. Our Catholic newspaper, The Catholic Review, is published bi-weekly and will provide these inserts for our parish free-of-charge on the other weeks. “Review in the Pew” will help to make us more aware of religious news beyond our parish, and allow more communication with our spiritual leader Archbishop William Lori. Some of you may have received your $100 property tax rebate already in the mail. Please consider restoring some of the funding for non-profit agencies cut by the County Commissioners by simply bringing your check to Mass, signing it, making it payable to one of the agencies, and dropping it in one of the boxes provided.
