Manual for Brompfication Hinge Clamp Set Picture A Picture B Picture C Parts incluted in the set: 2 x Lever Bolts 2 x Hinge Clamp Plates 2 x Springs 2 x Washers 2 x Lock nuts How it works: The clamp plate is prevented from rotating when turning the lever bolt, by making the terminal on one side of the clamp plate a few millimetres longer. A spring is used to push the clamp plate out. In order to to stop the lever bolt at the right position, it is secured in the flange with at locknut. How to install: Remove the original Brompton lever bolt and clamp plate. Clean the hinge flanges if necessary. Grease the tread of the Lever Bolt. Put the washer on the Lever Bolt first, then the Clamp Plate and the spring. Screw the Lever Bolt assembly into the hinge flange, and make sure that the long terminal of the Clamp Plate is on the same side, as the flange that you screw it into. When the bolt is screwed trough the tread in the flange, put the lock nut on the bolt and adjust it so the long terminal of the Clamp Plate overlap the flange with about 2 mm, and the other flange just pass the short terminal with a gap of about 1 mm (see picture A and B) Notice: It can be necessary to readjust the lock nut from time to time, if you want to prevented this, you can use a few drops of loctite on the tread.

How it works:The clamp plate is prevented from rotating when turning the lever bolt, by making the terminal on one side of the clamp plate a few millimetres longer. A spring is used to push the clamp plate out. In order to to stop the lever bolt at the right position, it is secured in the flange with at locknut.

How to install:Remove the original Brompton lever bolt and clamp plate.Clean the hinge flanges if necessary.Grease the tread of the Lever Bolt.Put the washer on the Lever Bolt first, then the Clamp Plate and the spring.Screw the Lever Bolt assembly into the hinge flange, and make sure that the long terminal of the Clamp Plate is on the same side, as the flange that you screw it into. When the bolt is screwed trough the tread in the flange, put the lock nut on the bolt and adjust it so the long terminal of the Clamp Plate overlap the flange with about 2 mm, and the other flange just pass the short terminal with a gap of about 1 mm (see picture A and B)

Notice:It can be necessary to readjust the lock nut from time to time, if you want to prevented this, you can use a few drops of loctite on the tread.
