I get very excited this time of year! I am thankful all year round for all that God has done for me, but when we go into the Christmas season right after Thanksgiving, I am overjoyed because of the “celebration of the birth of Christ.” Just the fact that Jesus came to earth to die for me is so very special to me and so many others all over the world. He wrapped Himself up in sinful flesh, was born in a manger and laid in some hay, which, to me, represents “humility” in the highest form. He did not come to the earth on chariots of fire, announce Himself and sit on a throne; He came into the world as a precious baby and lived a human life for over 33 years. During that time, He made no reputation for Himself, yet we are always looking for ways to pump ourselves up to the world but, not Jesus. Jesus really displayed through His natural life down here how He wanted us to live on this earth, but we have gotten so far away from “humility” until it is a “foreign” word. Jesus is my role model and I love the fact that I can celebrate His birth around the Christmas season. Jesus is the reason for the season; so, if you do not have any money to buy gifts for all your family members, just remember who we are celebrating. Pull out your old decorations, put up your lights and whatever, celebrate Jesus and think on what He did at Calvary for you. Make this celebration personal. I get very excited this time of year! I am thankful all year round for all that God has

done for me, but when we go into the Christmas season right after Thanksgiving, I am

overjoyed because of the “celebration of the birth of Christ.” Just the fact that Jesus

came to earth to die for me is so very special to me and so many others all over the

world. He wrapped Himself up in sinful flesh, was born in a manger and laid in some

hay, which, to me, represents “humility” in the highest form. He did not come to the

earth on chariots of fire, announce Himself and sit on a throne; He came into the

world as a precious baby and lived a human life for over 33 years. During that time,

He made no reputation for Himself, yet we are always looking for ways to pump

ourselves up to the world but, not Jesus. Jesus really displayed through His natural life down here how He wanted us to live on

this earth, but we have gotten so far away from “humility” until it is a “foreign” word.

Jesus is my role model and I love the fact that I can celebrate His birth around the

Christmas season. He humbled himself and died a horrible death, and all He asked us

to do was live a clean, peaceable life and die daily to our flesh... His character and the

way He lived while He was on earth is the best example that we have as Christians.

During this time of year, I want to get the lights out and all the Christmas decorations,

celebrate and think on Him and His supernatural birth; not just His birth, but really

why He came to the earth. Jesus is the reason for the season; so, if you do not have

any money to buy gifts for all your family members, just remember who we are

celebrating. Pull out your old decorations, put up your lights and whatever, celebrate

Jesus and think on what He did at Calvary for you. Make this celebration personal.

Just think on how He has changed your life and who you are now opposed to who

you were. That right there is enough for you to celebrate until this time next year.

Christmas is a celebration of life. Jesus came to this world, brought life to a dying

world, and because He came we now live! So, let’s celebrate Jesus in a special way

this Christmas season.

Our Mission The Mission of

Partners In Prayer Global Ministries, Inc. (PIPGM) is to help change the lives of our communities and the world by reinforcing the basic principles of early Morning Prayer. Using the basic structure such as providing a prayer list and reading the Word of God daily (preferable early in the morning) can provide a life changing experience for church, family and our entire surrounding.

The Bible states that men should always pray and not faint PIPGM encourages people across the nation to pray by showing how easy it is to develop a consistent prayer life.

GUEST SPEAKER

Special Third Saturday Evening

Presentation:

The Lord spoke to me in March of 2008 and

told me that He wanted bishops on the prayer

line. I thought to myself, “Wow, that is great

Lord”, but I did not know how I was going to

do it. I went to work and one of our bishops

sent me an email about a website that he was

going to have for another country, and that was

my opening. I stated that was great, told him

what God told me to do, asked him if he would

be one of my guests, and he said yes.

Evangelist Cynthia Green and I contacted some

other bishops, Third Saturday Presentations

began, and we have been doing them every

month. We invite different bishops, pastors,

and evangelists to be speakers for each month.

We have invited other laymen that we are

instructed to invite by the Holy Spirit. This has

been a very successful part of our ministry for

over five years.

Wilderness, as defined in

Webster’s Dictionary, is a “wild

and uncultivated region”.

Wilderness, as it relates to our

lives, is specific areas of weak-

nesses that the Lord is trying to

perfect. It is a place, if we allow

it, to mold us and make us for the

purpose God has intended for our

lives. I am reminded of the children

of Israel; even though they were

disobedient, the Lord still loved them

with an unconditional love. He loves

us just like that, unconditionally.

Although sometimes we have been

disobedient, He still makes a way of

escape to save us.

Disobedience and lack of trust kept

the children of Israel wandering in

the wilderness until that generation

had died out. Only Joshua and Caleb

were left. What should have been an

11- day journey ended up being 40

long years. Murmuring and

complaining also caused them to

wander much too long. Murmuring

does not change the situation, it just

makes your test longer. You become

miserable and if you are not careful,

you will become bitter. Our wilder-

ness experiences should make us

better and not bitter.

Deliverance will come in time,

God’s time.

When the children of Israel were

released from captivity, they did

not leave Egypt empty handed.

God granted them favor and they

left with much wealth. God led

them by way of the wilderness to

save their lives. If He would have

let them go by way of the

Philistines, they would have gone

back to Egypt. We are going

somewhere; every child of God

must keep heaven in view. We

must not let our dry places

obscure our vision of our ultimate

destination. We are going by way

of the wilderness, and there is no

getting around it. Psalm 30:5

declares, “Weeping may endure

for a night but joy cometh in the

morning.”

Testimony of: Minister Dee P. Watson

“. . . and by the word of their testimony; . . .” Revelation 12:11

“6

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also

sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also

bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let

him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” II Corinthians 9:6-7

I have asked the Lord to manifest the above two verses in my life. Last month, I wanted

thirteen hundred dollars and I prayed to the LORD with a heart of thanksgiving. “I thank you

for Your Word; Your Word says, I can ‘cast all my cares upon you for you care for me’ (I

Peter 5:7). I humble myself under your Mighty Hand, O God. I need thirteen hundred dollars

to purchase a ticket to Qatar. I have three hundred dollars of it now. I only need one thousand

dollars. I don’t know how it will be done, BUT I have confidence in You that You have

already done it for me in the spiritual realm. Lord, You knew before the foundation of this

earth that this would be one of my wants and not a necessity. You are Omniscient. Now I am

asking in Jesus’ Name that You grant me this amount of money (one thousand dollars) in Your

earth realm. Lord, I am standing on Your Word, if I sow bountifully, I shall reap bountifully.

I have sown bountifully into Your Kingdom and into Your servants with a cheerful heart. I

thank You for the bountiful blessings in Jesus’ Name. You said in John 14:1, ‘If ye shall ask

any thing in My Name, I will do it’; and in John 16:23, ‘. . . Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father

in my Name, He will give it you’. Amen.”

That same morning of my prayer, a family member called me and said, “I have already spoken

to the Lord that I am blessing you with an early Christmas gift of thirteen hundred dollars. I

reaped the full amount of thirteen hundred dollars from Jesus the same day. He just blew my

mind. Amen. God hears our prayers and He answers them on time. Hallelujah!!! I will

praise the Lord with my whole heart. The next day, I received in the mail a check for $155.69.

This was a co-payment reimbursed to me from the hospital that I was not expecting. If we are

obedient to the Word of God, He will perform His Word in our life. I thank Him for His Word,

“. . . and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” “Now unto Him that is able

to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. . .” Ephesians 3:20.

“God Loveth A Cheerful Giver.” Hallelujah!!!

TESTIMONIAL

HISTORY Submitted By: Sister Vareda Allen

Oscar Devereaux Micheaux (January 2, 1884 – March 25, 1951) was an

American author, film director and independent producer of more than 44 films. Although

the short-lived Lincoln Motion Picture Company produced some films, he is regarded as the

first major African-American feature filmmaker, the most successful African-American

filmmaker of the first half of the twentieth century and the most prominent producer of race

films. He produced both silent films and "talkies" after the industry changed to incorporate

speaking actors.

Micheaux sought to create films that would counter white portrayals of African Americans,

which tended to emphasize inferior stereotypes. He created complex characters of different

classes, and was never interested in simplicity. His own life experiences were the basis for

much of his work. Growing up in southern Illinois, which had long been influenced by

Southern migrants and culture, he learned about some relationships between African

Americans and whites, and their misunderstandings.

Micheaux died on March 25, 1951 in Charlotte, North Carolina of heart failure. He is buried

in Great Bend Cemetery in Great Bend, Kansas, the home of his youth. His gravestone

reads: "A man ahead of his time".

Legacy and honors:

The Oscar Micheaux Award for excellence was established. The Oscar Micheaux Society at

Duke University continues to honor his work and educate about his legacy. 1987 Micheaux

was recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 1989 the Directors Guild of

America honored Micheaux with a Golden Jubilee Special Award. The Producers Guild of

America created an annual award in his name. 1989 the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame

gave him a posthumous award. Gregory, South Dakota holds an annual Oscar Micheaux

Film Festival. 2002, scholar Molefi Kete Asante included Oscar Micheaux on his list of 100

Greatest African Americans. On June 22, 2010 the U.S. Postal Service issued a 44-cent,

Oscar Micheaux commemorative stamp.

After researching, Vareda Allen found Oscar Devereaux Micheaux to be her ancestor.

Excerpt #5, December, 2013 –

Peace of Mind

“To have peace of mind, keep your

mind on Me” (Journal, 14) “Keep your mind on heavenly things.” (Journal, 16) “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.” (Isaiah 26:3 with Philippians 4:7, 8, 9)

-LEADERSHIP-

: Do others look to you for leadership? Do you face a major task or shoulder heavy responsibilities? Do you want to take your leadership skills to a higher level?

When Nehemiah confronted the task of rebuilding Jerusalem's wall, he was heartbroken by the damage he saw and nearly overwhelmed by the task that lay before him. Yet through the application of timeless leadership principles, Nehemiah completed this nearly impossible project, and laid a pattern for success which is just as valid for us today. Charles Swindoll brings his sensible and straight forward style to offer a deeply spiritual approach to the role of leader. Whatever the context, secular or ministerial, he demonstrates how

to size up a task, organize and motivate a team, and respond to inevitable obstacles such as

these: •Unforeseen setbacks

•Unrelenting deadlines

•Criticism and outside resistance

•Personality conflicts

•Financial pressures and temptations The insights that Swindoll draws from Nehemiah's wise administration will change your approach to leadership forever.
