Introductions
Background The Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health (2016-
2030) is a bold new roadmap for ending all preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths, including stillbirths, by 2030, and improving their overall health and well- being. It aims to keep women, children and adolescents at the heart of the sustainable development agenda, unlocking their vast potential for transformative change. More than 300 organizations have contributed more than 400 time-
bound, measurable commitments to advance the 2010-2015 Global Strategy – commitments that all contributed to remarkable results and more 100 countries and partners have signed country and commitment to the global strategy after the launch at the UNGA SDG 2015.

Partners Challenges
Most countries not yet domesticated global strategy into their national budget framework. Most countries do no have
national independent accountability multi sectoral teams to track progress on global strategy. Some countries partnership at
national level is not strong among key players i.e donors partners ,NGOs/CSOs and government.
6
Evidence has shown we need the national Independent multi sectoral accountability mechanism in all partner countries. PMNCH should have national
country presence in all partner countries national throug its membership . All PMNCH countries should
commit to include the local resources to support the global strategy. At national level government and
donor partners should support other partners implementation .
