Laurie Shotton focuses on the life and pensions insurance industry. He covers technology topics relevant to life insurers. His research areas include legacy modernization and policy administration systems. He also covers industry trends focusing on how business and technology is transforming the insurance industry. In terms of emerging technologies he covers wearables and robotic process automation. He is also the Agenda Manager for the Insurance team and helps to shape the insurance agenda. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Shotton worked for software vendors, insurers and a BPO. He has exten-sive experience in life and pensions software and has operated in markets across the globe.

In previous roles, he led a team of 30 business analysts in implementing a life and pensions solution for global life and pension providers. In his role at Capita, he assessed the key life and pensions software providers to help develop the outsourcer’s platform strategy.

Aurélie is an analyst serving eBusiness & Channel Strategy Professionals. She specializes in digital business strategy for retail banks.
