Climate
The climate for grasslands is dry. Precipitation is usually between 100 cm per year and 20 cm per year.

Animals and Plants
• In North America the dominant grazing animals are bison and pronghorn
• The dominant vegetation in a Grassland is obviously GRASS!!!!

Effects of Humans
• Humans mainly “burn and graze” grasslands, burning a large area, then using the soil for good farmland
• Another large human impact is city building, streets and cities sometimes may have been located over what used to be a grassland
