The biome that I am researching is grasslands, and here is some important

information that you should know about the grasslands

Climate

The climate for grasslands is dry. Precipitation is usually between 100 cm per year and 20 cm per year.

Animals and Plants

• In North America the dominant grazing animals are bison and pronghorn

• The dominant vegetation in a Grassland is obviously GRASS!!!!

Also a few shrubs, bushes and a tree or two here and there

Effects of Humans

• Humans mainly “burn and graze” grasslands, burning a large area, then using the soil for good farmland

• Another large human impact is city building, streets and cities sometimes may have been located over what used to be a grassland
