General CG information:

The centrifugal pump type CG is designed for a long and reliable service life.

The design with logical assembly and a minimum of assembly parts make both inspection and maintenance easy to carry out.

The hydraulic design gives a compact pump with modest space requirement and low weight.

Pump casing: Radially split with flanges in line.

Pump cover is shaped as an integral part of the pump casing and comes out as a unit with shaft, impeller and external bearing, independent of motor and pipe connection.

Impeller: Designed to ensure high suction performance. A pressure balancing channel in the pump casing provides hydraulic balance.

Shaft:Made of corrosion resistant material with good mechanical properties. A bearing bush is mounted closely to the impeller to reduce bending stresses. The shaft is protected against contact with the pumped medium by shaft nut, impeller, distance ring and mechanical shaft seal.

Bearings: A heavy ball bearing designed for axial and radial loads is protected by an external housing mounted on top of the pump. The bearing housing acts as a carrying member giving rigidity to the pump cover and providing four anchoring points to the pump casing.

Internal bearing bush enveloped by a grease chamber ensures long periods of operation. The shaft nut protects the bearing bush and the shaft from particles.

Mechanical shaft seal: This is a standard component giving the following benefits: • No shaft wear.• No need for adjustment.• Long service life.• Negligible leakage. • Easy and rapid replacement.
