• We do not ask people to channel all their giving through Dayspring. We encourage people to take responsibility for there giving to God.

• So what does this mean? We ask that people seek out ministries and projects

which they connect with to support the growth of the Kingdom of God.

We also ask that people contribute to the cost of running Dayspring

• Why do we need people to give to Dayspring? There is a cost to cover expenses to operate Dayspring

Cost of room hire – Garforth Academy / Welfare Hall Administration – to support and facilitate things that happen

(Hannah and Gill in the Hub to serve, and Annie to serve within the Eldering and communicate between team leaders and beyond).

PA equipment / Projector / Laptops / Licences / Insurance Up keep of 62C – Maintenance / Gas / Electric Affiliations – Pioneer / Evangelical Alliance / Yorkshire

These are not for the day to day running of Dayspring, but to bless people in Dayspring and beyond. They are an opportunity for us to get behind something as a community.

• How do I give to Dayspring? There are several ways

Through the offering box at the back of our Sunday Baseline meetings

By Cash By Cheque (Made out to Dayspring Church)

Through the Church office 62C marked for the attention of Keith Swallow

Through a standing order into the Dayspring AccountThrough electronic banking in the Dayspring Account

• How can I maximise my giving?This can be done through Gift Aid for those who

pay income tax or pay capital gains tax. This allows me to claim back from the government the

tax you pay on the money you give.Example:

If you give £100 then the tax which can be reclaimed £25. This £25 can then be used by the Church to cover running costs.

• What do I need to do to start giving under Gift Aid?You need to complete a Gift Aid form which states your

wish to have the Church reclaim the tax.You can get a form from Keith SwallowYour gift can come in the form of a standing order,

cheque via the offering box/office or in cash.Where your gift is given in cash then please put this in an

envelop stating your name or Gift Aid number (obtained from me). This is so that there is a clear trail to follow if it is audited / reviewed by the Inland Revenue.

• What is a love offering?A Love offering is where as a Church community we

come together to support a particular activity or person.

We do this as the costs and resources are not included in our budget

The amount we give is over an above our contribution to running Dayspring

Amounts given in a Love offering can also be Gift Aided.

year so the salary number is lower than expected

We also got a one off refund from the Inland Revenue of £1,200
