Weekly Mass Schedule Family of Parishes News: At the beginning of May, St. Peter’s Seminary Institute for Ongoing Formation offered training days in Oxley for the newly formed Pastoral Teams who begin leading a Family of Parishes on July 2nd. The days were extremely beneficial and provided much insight into this new model of parish ministry. Best practices were shared, conflict resolution tools were taught and teams were encouraged to remain centered on the Gospel as they equip their communities to be effective missionary disciples.
The Transition Team continues to discern some of the necessary changes that will be effectuated in the coming months. It is hoped that our new weekend and weekday mass schedule can be announced the first weekend of June. This will necessitate a reorganization of the liturgical ministries as new schedules will need to be made for the first weekend of July.
Next week, the Pastoral Study Days for the Diocese will take place in London May 27 – 29. Planning days for the upcoming year are scheduled in June with the Parish Pastoral Team and Staff, as well as with the Principals of the schools within our Family of Parishes. Please continue to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and for the openness of our parishioners to minister together in the name of Jesus.
