What defines Low Intensity? Exercise that does not result in significantly increased and sustained respiratory rates. On a 1-10 index of Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE), classes will be taught at a level of 4-5 max. Body is more active but you can converse easily but talking is starting to get challenging.Low intensity classes will focus on form, posture, core strength & flexibility following FIIT Principles and exercising one muscle group at a time.High intensity classes such as Spin, Cardio, Step and HIIT formats are suspended at this time. Check back for updates when these will be scheduled again.

• You MUST be pre-registered and on the class list prior to entering the fitness class. No Drop-in’s allowed. Some classes fill up fast; recommend registering at least 5 days in advance to secure a spot.

• Complete the COVID informed consent form and provide it to customer services at the Family Rec Centre 48 hours prior to first class. Send to [email protected] . You only need to do this once and have on file.

• Review the PAR-Q+ form ( a “Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire”) and discuss as needed with your Fitness Instructor for modifications that you may need to participate in class. Done annually or updated as your condition changes. More info at eparmedx.com.

• Fitness Room arranged for aerobic safety and physical distancing. Workout pods are centered 3 meters apart from the next. Music settings reduced to conversational levels. Class size is limited to maximum of 11 participants.

• Maintain a minimum of 2 meters distance from others during non-activity and during class please follow the 3 meters spacing.

• You are required to answer COVID Heath screening questions each class.

COVID-19 Group Fitness Guidelines• You are required to sanitize your hands upon entering.• You are required to use the disinfectant and towel

provided to wipe down all class equipment prior to and after use.

• Come dressed to participate. Change rooms and lockers NOT available. Leave valuables at home.

• Bring a water bottle and towel with you to work out. Re-fill water station is available.

• NO lobby access, you will enter/exit the fitness room from exterior doors at the Rec Centre. Washroom access for class participants is by the fitness centre only.

• YOGA requires you to bring your own equipment and props. You need a yoga mat, small pillow, two blankets and a clean unused pillowcase to use our bolster. Optional: blocks, straps or your own bolster.

• Promptly exit the facility after class. We must clean the space before the next user arrives.
