Adventure Day Camp
Temecula, Rancho Cucamonga, and Moreno Valley were used as the comparisons cities as they are similar in size and demographics to Corona.
Areas of comparisons focused on Recreation Classes, Special Events, Parks and Facilities.

In Corona, fi tness & sports are the largest category of classes off ered and music and dance classes the smallest.
Corona fares well in providing educational classes compared to the other three cities.
In Corona, youth, adults, and seniors have the largest number of class choices and teens the least.
Overall, Corona is strong in providing youth classes.
SUMMARY OF RECREATION CLASSES IN CORONA
Corona has the fewest annual special events.
Temecula, Rancho Cucamonga, and Moreno Valley host multiple arts, culture & music events and many of the events are co-sponsored by community partners and local businesses.
In years past, Corona off ered more child and family centered activities and events such as a 5K run, Tiny Tots Olympics, Movie nights, etc. These annual events were eliminated due to budget reductions.

Dedicated space for teen programming during the day and evenings.
Rancho Cucamonga and Temecula have dedicated space for cultural arts programming and events.

Moreno Valley Conference & Recreation Center (CRC)
45,000 Ballroom with full kitchen, stage, 2 dressing rooms & state of the art technology; 2 meeting rooms; conference room; reception patio; outdoor banquet patio; dance/fitness room; fully-equipped workout area; full size gymnasium with locker room & showers.
More merging of the Library & Recreation Services Divisions with increased shared roles and responsibilities.
Opening of the new Community Center = large programming and rental space and a place for teens.
Introduce new types of recreation classes and sports for youth, teens, and adults.
Proactively search for grants and other funding sources for programs, activities, and special events for Corona.
