Greetings:
On behalf of the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department, I invite you to take a
look at our 2019 Calendar of Events. From pre-school to 50 plus to athletics to special
events, the calendar is designed to help you keep up with all of our programs throughout
the year. Whether you are a seasoned patron or just becoming acquainted with us, we
invite you to discover everything that your Parks and Recreation Department has to offer.
Our mission at Auburn Parks and Recreation is to provide quality leisure services and facilities
to the citizens of Auburn. We feel it is important to take time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life,
whether you are making memories with family and friends at one of our events, enjoying a walk
or run through one of our many parks, or discovering a new hobby through one of our quarterly
class offerings. Auburn Parks and Recreation is committed to enhancing the quality of life of all our
citizens. We encourage your feedback. It is a valuable asset in adjusting and adding programs.
I would like to take a moment to thank the many local businesses that support our leagues,
events, and programs each year. Their generosity allows us to provide cost-effective services
to tens of thousands of citizens. If you are attending one of our many free community events
throughout the year, you can be assured that it is because of the support of a local business.
2019 will be an exciting year for Auburn Parks and Recreation. We are excited about new
additions to our parks and facilities. Be on the lookout for public meeting notices regarding
public meetings as we begin the design process on the new additions.
Thank you for your continued support of Auburn Parks and Recreation. We look forward to
everything 2019 has in store. We hope to see you many times throughout the year.
Sincerely,
Becky Richardson Parks and Recreation Director
