In 2013, Parker University will be beginning three new degree programs to help build for the future of health care.

Associate Degree of Applied Science: Radiologic Technology

Radiologic technology gives us a window into the human body. It allows us to see the structures and internal systems that make us tick to help doctors better diagnose and treat their patients. At Parker University, our accredited, on-campus, 25-month radiologic technology program will teach you the skills you need to succeed in this exciting and growing field.

Bachelor of Science: Health Information Management

Parker’s online health information management degree teaches you to manage information for hospitals and other health care providers in the areas of patient care, facility planning, reimbursement, marketing, risk management, quality assessment, and research. Upon completion of the online health information management program, you’ll be prepared to take the necessary certification exams and work in high-demand areas such as hospitals, home health agencies, mental health facilities, physician practices, nursing homes, and public health facilities.

Master of Business Administration: Health Care Management

As the health care industry continues to evolve, hospitals, nursing homes, managed care organizations, group medical practices, and other health care providers will need skilled men and women to lead the way. At Parker University, our online MBA health care degree offers you the chance to shape the future of one of the United States’ fastest growing industries.

While earning your MBA health care degree, you’ll take courses in financial management, marketing, economics, health policy, law, and more. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to help providers plan, coordinate, direct, and manage their long-term strategy and goals as well as day-to-day business operations.

NEW PROGRAMS TO BUILD THE FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE

Page 8: Parker University Annual Report 2011-2012

Parker University enjoys a world-renowned reputation as a premiere institution in health and wellness. The legacy began with Parker Seminars in 1951, and continued with the opening of the college in 1982. Parker is synonymous with health and wellness.

In the early days of Parker Seminars in 1951, we could fit all of the attendees into a single hotel suite. Now Parker Seminars are the largest in the chiropractic profession, reaching over 5,000 attendees each year.

“Because of muscle pain around my right shoulder, I couldn’t reach my arm past my hip or reach all the way up. I decided to give Parker University Chiropractic Wellness Clinics a try. My doctor and intern assessed the damage and began customized treatments. Now I can reach above or behind me with no difficulty at all! I am so grateful for their help. If feels like a miracle that I’ve recovered this range of motion.” -David S.
