MONASTIC EXPERIENCE WEEKEND AT QUARR ABBEY,

ISLE OF WIGHT: Fri 8th (evening) - Sun 10th March 2019: The

Monastic Experience Weekend is designed to give single Catholic men aged 18-35 the

opportunity to sample monastic life, as it is led at Quarr Abbey in the Benedictine tradition of

the Solesmes Congregation. It will be of particular interest to those wanting to explore the possibility of a vocation. Contact: Brother

Christian Unity Week is on the horizon and our local Service for Christian

Unity Week will take place at St John’s Anglican Church, Warley at 4.00pm today. It is hoped that many parishioners will be able to support this annual time of prayer with other local Christians. ALSO Highgate Methodist Church will host a

service at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 22nd January to which all are welcome.

CATECHISTS’ MEETING: Sat 9th March, Hinsley Hall, 10am-1pm: The Diocese invites

all catechists and those involved in faith formation to a meeting at Hinsley Hall. There will be a chance to meet fellow

catechists, to share best practice, and to meet the new Co-ordinators for Catechesis (Gregory Stacey and Kieran

Hughes). There will be a particular focus on the opportunities presented by “family catechesis” and the ways in which the Diocese is developing ways to support catechists in their

The Church Cleaning rota is on hold until the heating has

been repaired. After repairs are completed we will ask for the

whole team to please help to give our Church an intensive clean and

thereafter the rota will recommence.
