ITINERARY

Day 1: Paris, France – Arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, where you will be transferred to the SS Joie de Vivre.

Day 2: Vernon, cruising the Seine, and Les Andelys, France – Take a short bus ride or a scenic bike ride to Monet’s home in Giverny. Once there, you’ll discover how Monet immortalized his home and gardens in his paintings. Later, cruise along the peaceful Seine to Les Andelys, where you can hike up to Château Gaillard for inspiring views.

Day 3: Rouen, France – Your exploration along the Seine continues, stopping in Rouen for either a gourmet walking tour where you can sample the delicacies of Normandy, or enjoy 18 holes of golf at Mont-Saint-Aignan, just a few minutes from the city.

Day 4: Caudebec-en-Caux, France – Today you will travel through the Calvados countryside to Honfleur where you will enjoy your AAA complimentary inclusions; a private walking tour through the seaside town, a refreshment at Julia Child’s La Couronne and an exclusive cider pairing lunch at La Ferme Saint Simeon.

Day 5: Rouen, France – Normandy has been the setting for many battles over the centuries, including the D-Day invasion of World War II. Today, you can choose to visit either the American airborne or 3rd Canadian infantry landing beaches. Meet back together with your group later in the day at the American Cemetery and Memorial honoring U.S. soldiers.

Day 6: Mantes-la-Jolie, France – Tour the royal apartments of Versailles, which still look much as they did when Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette fled in 1789. Marvel at the magnificent Hall of Mirrors and visit Château de Malmaison, once home to Napoleon’s first empress, Josephine.

Day 7: Paris, France – You have three excursion options today. Take a cruise along the Seine for an unforgettable look at the heart of Paris from the water and continue on a panoramic tour to see the City of Lights’ most famous sights. Or experience Paris as a true Parisian and join the “Do as the Locals Do” tour to explore the history and architecture of the city. Or hop on a bicycle for a guided ride along the Seine.

Day 8: Paris, France – Your Paris and Normandy tour ends today. Disembark the SS Joie de Vivre and begin your journey home.
