Pre History and seniority Paris

Paris is the main town of one of the most important countries of Europe, France. Its ancient history is very rich and complex. We will therefore begin by reports earlier periods, gradually approaching the modern era.

Little is known of the call Prehistory of Paris. The first known settlement of the city is the chasseana culture (between 4000 and 3800 BC), on the left bank of an old arm of the Seine. The human presence must have been continuous during the Neolithic.

The remains of a village in the administrative district of Bercy (one vessel currently on display in the Musée Carnavalet) were recovered and dated to around 400 BC.

The Parisii were the chief of the area until the arrival of Caesar's troops in 52 BC, the rename as Lutetia (Lutetia). The Parisii had been undergoing Vercingetorix to fight against the Roman invaders, but without success.
