Exploravision Competition Congratulations to our 9th grade STEM students. Congratulations to Mr. Pedicini and the freshmen Sagan STEM students. Forest Hills Exploravision Competition wins. Congratulations to Sagan STEM ninth graders Danielle Rafailov, Amber Lakhram, Daneil Malayev, Anna Chen, Lina Ustaeva, Qilin Kuang, Shahema Reha, Fairuz Humaira, and Amy Mustafa. They all received Honorable Mentions in the Toshiba Exploravision Science Competition. Students had to research and propose a future science technology breakthrough. Forest Hills HS joins Stuyvesant, Townshend Harris, and Bronx Science as the only four high schools in NYC to earn recognition in this competition

colleges students will receive financial aid letters explaining the Cost of Attendance, Scholarships and Grants offered as well as any loans. It is important that the student and family understands the information provided.
Students who have applied to college may be receiving invitations to take a placement exam. This test is to determine the student’s level in English and/or Math and is required to register for class. Students who have not received an invitation yet should be patient and regularly check their email and home mail for the invitation.
Looking for Freshman and Sophomores who interested to be part of the new Spring Developmental Lacrosse program. The program will be geared to the late dismissal from 4:45—5:45 pm three times a week. Interested candidates need to complete the PSAL parental and medical forms. For further questions, see Coach Bralower in room 265 pd 2,5,7 and 9 or on the field 3:30—5:30pm
Dear Parents,
I would like to start a monthly "Tuesdays with the Principal" to improve communication with parents and to invite parents into our great school to learn about the amazing things happening here. We will meet on the following Tuesdays: April 16, May 14, and June 11 in the morning at 9AM. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. Concerns will be heard and information shared. Splash at Yale!
Splash at Yale is an event that brings high school and middle school students to Yale University for one day of unlimited learning. Students who come take classes in a variety of both conventional and unconventional subjects taught by Yale undergraduate and graduate students! Splash will be on April 6th . Results of the vote taken on Monday related to the prom date and location.
Seniors voted on Monday in all economics classes in relation to the location of the prom. The votes have been tallied and the results are as follows:
Option #1 –Stay at Astoria Manor – Wednesday, June 5th – 28% Option #2 – Move to Leonards on Monday, June 10th – 67% No Vote Selected/Invalid Entries – 5% As you can see from the results above, we will be moving the prom to Leonards Palazzo on Monday, June 10th from 7 PM to 12 AM Tickets will now cost $115.00 for one ticket and $230.00 for two
tickets. If you already purchased a money order for the original amount you can bring cash to make up the difference in ticket costs.
Prom ticket sales will begin as scheduled on Monday, March 25th by APPOINTMENT ONLY! You should have received an invitation by email.
The prom reservation form has been corrected and you can find a revised form online at the school website. If you have an original form just cross off the price and put in the corrected price. Instructions for purchasing prom tickets can be found in the Class of 2019 section of the website. (New flyer and reservation form are attached to this announcement.) Language Program
Free program for Middle and High School Students
Forest Hills STARTALK Summer Hindi Program will prepare beginning and intermediate students for post-secondary studies while preparing advanced native Hindi speakers for the Foreign Language Regents Hindi examination. Students will be exposed to the Hindi language and Indian culture while earning Foreign Language credits.

Родители и студенты смогут посетить колледжи (ребенок в сопровождении, как минимум, одного родителя). В рамках проведения экскурсии предлагаются бесплатный завтрак, обед, перекус и закуски.

Экскурсия в колледж - 20 мая Cornell University и Binghamton University 6:00am – 9:00pm
Совместно с ассоциацией родителей и учителей школы FHHS отдел по вопросам поступления в колледж предлагает бесплатные экскурсии в различные университеты. Родители и студенты смогут посетить колледжи (ребенок в сопровождении, как минимум, одного родителя). В рамках проведения экскурсии предлагаются бесплатный завтрак, обед, перекус и закуски.

Splash at Yale!
Splash at Yale - это день, когда учащиеся промежуточной и средней школы имеют право посещать любые занятия в университете Yale. В этот день студенты старших курсов и выпускники Yale будут преподавать школьникам как профильные, так и непрофильные предметы!
Приходите на Splash 6 апреля. Предварительно создайте аккаунт, на который вам будут поступать уведомления о начале регистрации для школьников!
