PREVENT THE SUMMER SLIDE: Studies show that once the bell rings at the end of theyear, students begin to lose some of the knowledge they learned that school year. Yourchildren have worked SO HARD this year, and wed hate for them to lose whats beentaught. PLEASE keep them reading with good book series (maybe Ill see you at the public

library with my kids ) and working on their math facts. If youd like a fun calendar forquick, daily practice, LET ME KNOW. I will send it home to you. I also sent homeinformation on ScootPads summer program as well, for those interested.

A big THANK YOU goes out to the Sparschu family for their donation of a second tent to putin Camp Cronce! We could only fit two at a time into the other one, so THANKS!

With the weather warming up, I have been asked to remind families of proper attire: Shortsmust be as long as your childrens fingertips when they stand with their arms down.Shoulder straps on shirts must be two finger-widths wide, and tennis shoes with socks mustbe worn on the playground to prevent wood chips from cutting bare feet. Thank you!

Thank you, everyone, for your time/item donations toward our awesome Michigan Lunch!

We learned a lot this week and Im sure the lunch helped make our campers a bit moreaware of just how special our state really is. Have them sing our Michigan Song again!

GENIUS HOUR has been a blast! Did you know that skunks eat honey bees? Did youknow that George Washington was only 67 when he died? Did you further know that

Alaska has a longer coastline than all of the other 49 U.S. states put together? Hmmm

Looking forward to the week ahead,
