Results of 2018-2019 AzMERIT Testing
13 * Science is only tested in 4th, 8th, and 10th Grades.
School Performance/Grades Arizona Department of Education annually rates schools by assigning letter grades. Our district’s overall letter grade was a “A” for 2017-2018 school year. We have not received our letter grade for the 2018-2019 School year. The grade labels will be released by Oct.
New ‘AzMERIT’ testing will affect how future grades will be determined using: 1. The percentage of students who pass the ‘AzMERIT test.’
2. The percentage of students who are making expected (or better) academic growth.
3. Additional factors such as percentage of students tested, graduation rates, reclassification of English Language Learners.
Title I funds help our district maintain / improve our letter grade by improving student achievement through strategic use of federal funds.
