Tips for Parents who received a letter A• Identify the problem• Getting help

Schedule an appointment with your child’s teacher if you haven’t already been contacted.

• Be proactive. If you know your kid falls behind in their schoolwork or doesn’t do so well when it comes to grades, talk to the teacher immediately – before it becomes an issue in that class.

• Make your expectations clear and stick with them. Did your daughter’s grades drop? It’s time to take away some of her privileges.

• Use online gradebooks. All schools provide personalized logins for parents and guardians.

(Active Parent)• Create a routine. Take away

distractions from your child, such as, phones, video games, sports, and friends, until the student is able to manage their schoolwork.

It Takes Three!

All families can contribute to their children’s success. Family involvement improves student

success, regardless of race/ethnicity, class, or parents’

level of education.

I AM…An Educator with a purpose to teach.I wonder…will I ever pass the Praxis exam.I hear…God’s voice speaking to me daily.

I see…my scholars wanting to learn.I want…my scholars to pass the MAP Test.

I am…fearfully and wonderfully made from God.I pretend…to be the best dancer there is.I feel…God’s presence with me each day.I touch…the heart of scholars in my class.

I worry…about my scholars.I cry…when I feel overwhelmed.I am…An Inquirer & Beautiful!

I understand…God has control of my life.I say…there is greatness inside of you!

I dream…of being the woman of God wants me to be!
