To choose the formula on the reference sheet, students must recognize the appropriate formula!
What they are provided during testing
Take the time to view the tutorials!
Anything else? All students will have access to a spell checker when writing (not available -
field test) Accessibility tools (within test and without) available for qualifying students
Must be planned for before testing Testing cannot be the first time tools are used by students Must bring students to a level “playing field” and not represent an
advantage above others Detailed tools to test tech capacity for testing are available. In general, “rule of
thumb” - Connection speed - 100 kbps required, 30 kbps if caching Buildings with 3 grade levels, minimum 1 testing device for every 2
students in largest grade level More grade levels in your building? One-to-one device ratio for largest
grade level Field Test session times varied from 60 to 105 minutes (test time and
additional time if needed combined – plus an additional 20 to 35 minutes suggested for housekeeping tasks (log in/out, directions read, materials distributed/collected)
Remember… The standards build and progress from year to year Look at the standards for the year before, to see
where students have been Look at the standards for the year ahead, to see
where students are headed
Looking Ahead… Online training modules will be available Sept. 2014
