DAY 1 - MARYSVILLE, WA Our journey begins with an overnight at the Tulalip Resort Casino. (R, MV)
DAY 2 - PORTLAND, OR Board Amtrak’s Cascades train this morning. Enjoy the gorgeous views of the Pacific Coastline as we wind our way along cities and forests, past Mount St. Helens and across the Columbia River Gorge. Arrive into Portland by mid-afternoon. Set against the backdrop of majestic Mount Hood, Portland combines a sophisticated, cosmopolitan atmosphere with a refreshingly, friendly small-town warmth. Our home for the next two nights is the Red Lion Hotel on the River, Jantzen Beach. (B)
DAY 3 - PORTLAND ROSE FESTIVAL For more than one hundred years, the Grand Floral Parade has helped define the Portland Rose Festival as one of the world’s greatest celebrations. Enjoy the festivities from our reserved indoor, climate-controlled seating as the Festival’s signature event promises to entertain us with its larger-than-life, all floral floats, high-stepping marching bands and elegant equestrian units. Following the parade, board the coach for a city tour and get to know the ‘City of Roses’ with a local step-on guide. A visit to the International Rose Test Gardens is included. (B, L)
DAY 4 - PORTLAND We set sail aboard the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler for their gorgeous scenic brunch cruise this morning. Sit back and relax during the two hour sightseeing cruise through the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. We then explore the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic area – known for its spectacular waterfalls, architectural gems, and magnificent overlooks of the Gorge area. Continuing the loop back, visit Multnomah Falls, the second highest year-round waterfall in the United States and then return to the hotel. (B)
DAY 5 - OCEAN SHORES, WA Bid farewell to Portland as we head to the coast, arriving in Cannon Beach. This coastal town is a showcase of remarkable natural areas and was even named one of the world’s 100 most beautiful places by National Geographic. Spend time exploring the many art galleries, bistros, bakeries and gift stores; head to the beach where Haystack Rock rises proudly 235 feet from out of the sand. Ocean Shores is situated on a sandy peninsula and offers more than six miles of ocean beaches. Tonight’s stay is at Shilo Inn. (B)
DAY 6 - PORT ANGELES, WA Enjoy a day of scenic delights as we travel the beautiful Olympic Peninsula via Hwy 101 north. Visit the historic Lake Quinault Lodge, a grand and rustic lodge built in 1926. Dine in the Roosevelt Dining Room then explore the grounds. Stop in at the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center and venture out on one of three easy loop trails that give a great sampling of the diversity of the climate in this area. Arrive this afternoon into Port Angeles and settle in for the night at the Red Lion. Located on Hollywood Beach, the hotel’s great location overlooks the beautiful Strait of Juan de Fuca and is just one block from the town center. (L)
DAY 7 - ANACORTES, WA This morning, we offer an optional visit to the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Center. With historic roots dating back to 1792, Port Townsend is one of the finest examples of a Victorian-era seaport with buildings dating back to the 19th century and has been named by National Geographic as “one of the most sophisticated places west of Seattle”. From Port Townsend, board the ferry and cross Puget Sound back to the Washington mainland. Just past Anacortes, we arrive at the Swinomish Casino and Lodge. (B, MV)

a massive 1,500 foot mesa and is quite literally an island in the sky. Monument Valley provides the most enduring images of the American West.
The remote red mesas and buttes surrounded by sandy and empty
deserts have been used for filming and photography numerous times
over the years for television, movies, and advertising. The valley is not a
valley in the conventional sense, but rather a wide flat, desolate landscape,
interrupted by the crumbling formations rising hundreds of
feet into the air.

We then have the pleasure of exploring Rosario Resort on the shores of Cascade Bay. The centerpiece of the resort is Moran Mansion, listed on the National Historic Register. It houses the nautical themed museum and the music room, which contains the 1913 Aeolian organ featuring 1,972 pipes.
