1. Twins Javier Otxoa Palacio and Ricardo Otxoa Palacio were born on the 30th of October in 1974.

2.They were born in Vizcaya which is in the north of Spain

4. Javier Otxoia Palacio was a Tour de France Cyclist.

3.They were very enthusiastic about cycling since they were young.

5. One day during their training the

twins had an accident.

6. Ricardo Javier´s twin brother died and Javier was in acoma for more than 2 months.

7.After the accident

Javier Otxoa could not do many basic

things.

8. He suffers from

Celebral Palsy. His

brain is slightly

damaged. 9.He has lost part of

his lung and the accident has affected his balance.

10. He wanted to continue what he loved which was cycling!

11. So he has worked very hard and has become very sucessful.

12.We think he is a hero because he didn´t give up.

13. Even though he has physical and mental disabilities he persevered.

14. He was confident and brave starting

again.

15. He teaches us not to give

up!
