Introduction:

• Many people use parallel and perpendicular lines and planes. You use them in your daily life; you will as well use it in your future. Who uses them? Do you know? Well there are a lot of them such as:

• Card architects.

• Piano makers.

• Rowers.

Vocabulary:

• Parallel lines: are coplanar that don’t intersect.

• Perpendicular lines: intersect at 90 degrees.

• Skew lines: are not coplanar and are not parallel and do not intersect.

• Transversal: Is a line that intersects 2 coplanar lines at two different points.

Vocabulary:

• Rise: difference in the y-values of two points on a line.

• Run: difference in the x-values of two points on a line.

• Slope: is the ratio of rise to run.
