Topic sentence Writing academic articles requires a lot of
thinking, application, and determination. Idea 1 - supporting details Thinking involves selection of information
- supporting details and the incubation of thoughts. Idea 2 - supporting details Application concerns the use of knowledge in a
new context - supporting details and the adaptation of principles of writing new
information. Idea 3 - supporting details Determination is related to psychological nature
of the writer - supporting details and the motivation for that writing.

Where is A Topic sentence? Metacognitive belief can be put into three categories: person
knowledge, task knowledge, and strategy knowledge(Wenden 1991). Person knowledge refers to general knowledge about how human beings learn and process information, and individual knowledge of one’s own leaning processes. Learners need to understand their own cognitive capabilities, and to know in which particular areas they are generally competent and skilful. They need to know how to compensate for deficiencies. Task knowledge includes knowledge about the nature of the task and the type of processing demands. Learners need to know the purpose and the nature of the tasks. Strategy knowledge includes knowledge about both cognitive and metacognitive strategies and conditional knowledge about when and where it is appropriate to use strategies. It can lead learners to select, evaluate and revise cognitive tasks, goals, and strategies in the light of their relationship with one another and with their abilities and interests (Flavell, 1979). Learner may deliberately call upon their metacognitive knowledge when the learning task is new and incomplete (Wenden, 1999).

If this is the case, then learning
collocation incidentally may be a rare
occurrence because the number of
words that would be needed to
encounter the same collocation twice
would be much greater than those
needed to encounter the same word
twice, and research indicates that at
least eight encounters are needed to
learn a word’s meaning (Horst, Cobb,

Obviously, it is difficult for learners

students can be taught to make
plans for learning activities including

An example of a Summary Writing
manuscript At the center of each question in the humanities
sits a text, which can be defined as some artifact of human culture—perhaps a book, a document, a work of art, a building, or a film. The type of texts studied and the ways in which they are studied differentiate one subject in the humanities from others. But for all their differences, historians, philosophers, and literary critics regard texts as the point of entry in to a three-way relationship.
An example of a Summary Writing
We got it; Rosen (2008) gives definition of areas of
interest in humanities as the text, which is a starting point for a three way-relationship in writing—text, author, and audience. The different types of text determine different disciplines

An example of a Paraphrase Writing Manuscript Students in the humanities write for many purposes, including to
express their responses to creative works and to inform. Expressive writing often begins as a response to personal questions when reading a text What do I feel when reading this material? Why do I feel the way I do? How am I changed in response to this text? How can I account for differences I have observed between this text and others, or between this text and my own experience? Readers may find themselves as involved with a text that they want to respond in writing. You might consider keeping a reading journal in which you record responses to texts and, based on your entries, develop ideas for papers. A great deal of writing in humanities begins as personal response.
An example of a Paraphrase Writing
We got it; Rosen (2008) proposes that one of the objectives
in writing in humanities is to inform their personal response to creative work such as their feeling, how they feel, how they changed, how they explain the differences to other texts. He also suggests keeping a log to record responses which can be a starting point in writing.

An Example of a Synthesis Writing ขอความ 1 ทไดยอและถอดความมาแลว
Chandrasoma et al. (2004, p.175) assert that power hierarchies are not only “constructed intertexually”, but also “intertextually maintained, rejected, contested, and transformed”. Making meaning in a text involves an active interplay between the writer, the reader and the discursive resources within a wider social, cultural, historical and political context, upon which each party draws.
An Example of a Synthesis Writing
ขอความ 2 ทไดยอและถอดความมาแลว The meaning of a text, thus, does not reside in the text
(Howard, 1995).
ขอความ 3 ทไดยอและถอดความมาแลว It is produced by the interplay between the text and the
reader in relation across texts (Pennycook, 2001) with reference to socioculturally and sociohistorically constituted “ways of being in the world” (Gee, 1996, p. viii).
An Example of a Synthesis Writing
ความทไดจากการสงเคราะห
When reader (teacher) and student writer have unequal access to the dominant discursive resources and intellectual conventions, communication between the reader, the writer and the texts may become highly problematic and plagiarism may occur in the readers’ eyes, but not the writer’s.
