  • Jesus refers to a new kind of scribe, one instructed (μαθητευθείς, lit. “having been instructed (μαθητευθείς, lit. “having been made a disciple”) τῇ βασιλείᾳ τῶν οὐρανῶν, “in the kingdom of heaven,” i.e., concerning the nature of the kingdom as it has been the nature of the kingdom as it has been taught through the parables.
