PLUME SCRAFT 75 x 75 cm. Technique dye crayon

A scarf designs have been inspired by butterflies and flowers. A symbol of the rela-tionship between young men and young lady during the beginning of a life filled with brilliant success, looking for something new to fill out life. So, the fabric filled with the colorful color to demonstrate a refreshing and uplifting.

Page 5: Paptawan-Design Porfolio

This work, I used painting technique with reactive color stick, which is technically that develop by a grad student fo her textile thesis . It has been made out to be colorful. The pattern and meaning to convey to the freshness of youth by using the symbols of butterflies and flowers combined in this work.

SCRAFT 90 x 90 cm. Technique Tie dye (Arahi Shibori)

The hidden tigerChinese silk scarf inspired by Tiger, a symbol of elegant beauty and smart that hiden inside like the hunter. This piece was made by Arashi shibori techniques and dyeing with natural dyes; Malabar leaf.

Page 7: Paptawan-Design Porfolio

1. Tie the fabric with rubber band around plastic pipe2. Pull the fabric down to the end of the pipe3.Dye with malabar’leaves juice at 80 C for one hour. By keep-ing stir regularly 4.Tie more rubber band to the fabric5.Put the fabric in stannous chloride. Leave it for half an hour then washed out and tied more rubber band6.Take a dip in malabar’s leaves juice for 15 minutes, then put the fabric in Iron(ll) Sulfate for 30 minutes.7. Rinse the water for 10 min-utes

This project, I use the nature color for tie-dye tech-nique. I picked Malabar leaves juice ; which make the beutiful and unique green color and I use Arashi shib-oiri, that is the traditional Japan tie dye technique to make the stripe like tiger print for pattern to make the design under the concept “The hidden Tiger”

allureAllure as fabrics that are inspired by rafflesia. The flowers exist in Southeast Asia, which reminded me of the beautiful of wild forest in Thailand. This work, I want to convey a sense of luxury and sexy, but still retain the colorful of oriental style; by using the vivid color with the gold chain and leopard print.

SCRAFT 110 x 180 cm. Technique reactive painting

Inspirations , material and color mood board

Final sketch

This project, I works on the topic. "Dok-mai-bai-ya ( Flowers and Leaves of Grass) " by I have selected the " Bua-Phut " as inspiration. Bua-Phut or Rufflesia are found in the rainforest and tropical forests ; southern of Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. After a rough sketch, I did find that pattern on this flower looks like a leopard print. So, I added the leopard prints to the sketch and then to create a luxury feeling I put the golden chains into one. And since the Rafflesia is a tropical flower, I want to keep the color scheme looks hot by choosing the pink - red tone. In technical terms, the fabric stretched taut and then use the batik wax written on the spot of Rafflesia pattern to leave them white . Then, using reactive color to painted all over. And after fixed the colors, I boiled the fabric to remove the candle out, fix the details and sewn seam.

Page 11: Paptawan-Design Porfolio

DRESS AS YOU CANThis project , I designed a set of garment for Role Playing kids under the concept “Dress as you can” by getting inspired from the character in Alice in Wonderland . The kit is designed to have only one set but can be adjusted to a variety of for-mats such as the back side can swift to the outside and changing the ribbon to make a bow tie . This toy will enhance children's imagination to alter the dress and also encourage role- play their fun and realistic than ever. This set include:1 Skirt; which can transform to pant1 vest; can be put in two aspects.1apron; the patterns on it can change.Bow can be transformed into the ears of a rabbit. The sleeves that can be worn in two aspects.

Rhythm of colorThis fabric was inspired by accident effect; marbling, and using the silkscreen technique to print designs. In this set will be the same pattern but used different printing technique and fabric into six different series, each series will have a unique look, texture and color. But all are under the single concept “Rhythm of color”

Pattern design 42 x 59 cm. Technique Silk screen

This work, I used an accident effect technique; marb-ing. for working on this project, I do a lot of marbling and the original picture is the first picture. Then, I bring the pattern together , like in the second image and to make it to block screen . I divided the pat-tern into four blocks; blue , red and purple (the spot that red and blue intersect) The last block is white (a background). In this fabric series, it is divided into six parcels with different characteristics according to the technique we used when print the screen.

FLIGHT to freedomflight to freedom is the border pattern design. This work, I have assigned to work in field of India Art. From my inspiration picture, I got the message; Flight to freedom which means journey to Freedom from the ideal India design to contemporary India design but still old flair as well.

Border pattern 90 x 90 cm. Technique Block print

Page 15: Paptawan-Design Porfolio

Flight to freedom as the border pattern design in Indian style. For the inspiring images, I selected a photo of Karen Knorr, photographers who want to express their opposition of religious belief and reality in India. This has inspired me to design flight to freedom with a sense of conflict, but unified ,by using geometry combined with graceful curve pattern in Indian style and I have used rubber stamping techniques mixed with coloring poster color. Finally, I finished this work with the cacophony , but harmony , that I believe this is the charm of India.

“The cacophony, but harmony,

that I believe this is the charm of

India.”

le balletBallet is a show that combines the charm of femininity. Besides the beauty and delicacy of movement, Emotional situations and feel of the show was a part that makes audiences understand the story as well.

Page 19: Paptawan-Design Porfolio

In ‘Le balle’ series, I have designed in to 3 signature which Inspire from the famous ballet show Swanlake. The 3 patterns; including black swan, white swan and swanlake will focus on the design that looks elegant and femininity. To presenting the pattern, I change the fabric to the clothes and scraft that reflects the personality of them.

DAncing up to the sky

Dancing up to the sky for me, it meant to be happy with a little story around yourself, enjoyed it and then that will push ourselves to float up into the air like a balloon

Page 22: Paptawan-Design Porfolio

This project is to design a cd cover from the song has been assigned; a simple, easy listening genre. From this set of songs, I havd design into a balloon floating in the air with a sense of light drifting and easy like the sense of music. As for the colors, I use shades of pastel colors to highlight the brilliance of easy listening music clearly. For the process, I painted all the ballon and sky with water color then scan the picture then retouch in Photoshop& Illustrator.

Lansan is a packaging design for the fish mobile family; the OTOP product of Ayut-thaya. The design will focus on the materials; that must be natural, cost savings and assembly easier for small entrepreneurs . I have designed the boxes of fish mobile to weave coconut pattern . The exclusivity of the packaging is that we can store a mobile into a beautiful organized. . The pattern on the sleeve is also designed as a continuation pattern as well; fish mobile pattern is reduced to a more modern look . But still maintain the local identity .
