ULTRA MILK

HISTORY

PT Ultrajaya story began with a small dairy operation in 1958. Then in

1971, it entered yet another phase of growth through the incorporation of its

business into PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry & Trading Company.

PT Ultrajaya of today is the pioneer and Indonesia’s leading producer of

aseptic dairy products, beverages, long-life foods for consumers throughout the

country under some well-know brands such as Ultra Milk for dairy products,

Buavita for fresh fruit juices and Teh Kotak for fresh tea drinks.

Its plant is strategically located in the center of the rich agricultural

hinterland of Bandung which provides it with an abundant and reliable source of

quality, fresh ingredients, from milk to tea and tropical fruits.

The freshness of these ingredients as well as their natural nutritional

quality is preserved through an Ultra High Temperature (UHT) process and the

latest aseptic packaging technology without adding any preservatives.

Currently, 90 percent of the company’s total production volume is sold

domestically throughout Indonesia, while the remainder is exported to limited

countries in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Australia and United States of America.

The products both for local and export market are identical.

FEATURES/BENEFITS

This high quality fresh milk containing the natural balanced goodness of

protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals like Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus,

makes it a complete food.

The fresh milk is processed by UHT (Ultra High Temperature)

sterilization, where it is quickly heated at high temperature of 140oC for 4 seconds

to eliminate all bacteria. The shortest heating time ensures minimal lost of its

nutritive value and freshness.

For Ultra Milk Low Fat High-Calcium, Before sterilizing by UHT, the

milk fat content from the fresh milk is partly taken out through a machine called

"Fat Separator". And for Flavored fresh milk, All natural ingredients are perfectly

mixed in a hygienic mixing tank, homogenized and then is processed by UHT.

After the milk is aseptically processed, it is immediately packed in 6

layered aseptic cartons. These cartons comprise layers of food grade polyethylene

plastic, aluminum foil and paper to prevent Ultra Violet light, air and bacteria

from coming in contact with the milk.

The perfect combination of UHT Sterilization process and Aseptic packaging has

ensured Ultra Milk remain long life without the use of any preservatives. The

product has gained the official Halal Certificate issued by MUI (The Indonesian

Council of Ulamas).

VARIANTS AND USAGE

There are many variants of Ultra Milk which can be chosen by the costumers:

Ultra Milk Full Cream

Ultra Milk Full Cream contains all the essential nourishment needed by

growing children and also adults. It is ideal for daily drinking

consumption. It is also best used for cooking and baking. The product is

recommended for consumers aged 1 year and above.

Ultra Milk Low Fat High-Calcium

Ultra Milk Low Fat High-Calcium contains all the essential nourishment

needed by adults who especially require high calcium for their bone

strength and development. It is Ideal for daily drinking consumption. It is

also best used for cooking and baking. The product is recommended for

adults and elders both male and female.

Ultra Milk Chocolate, Strawberry and Mocca

combined with sugar and other natural ingredients such as chocolate

powder, strawberry juice or coffee powder, makes it, therefore, a complete

food. It contains all the essential nourishment needed by growing children

and also adults.

Ultra Mimi Vanilla, Choco and Strawberry

It is combined with sugar and natural ingredients such as chocolate

powder or strawberry juice, making it therefore a complete food and fun to

drink for kids especially the pack is specially designed for them. It

contains all the essential nourishment needed by growing children. It is

ideal for daily drinking consumption at home, school or during activities.

The product is recommended for children aged 1 year above

Susu Sehat Full cream, Chocolate and Strawberry

It contains all the essential nourishment needed by growing children and

also adults. The product is specially designed and sold for special

institution only such as school and factory. It is ideal for daily drinking

consumption at home, school or place of work. The product is

recommended for consumers aged 1 year and above.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

Before opening:

Ultra Milk can be kept at the room temperature without refrigeration. Shelf life

is within 10 months.

The product should be stored in the dry, clean and cool place.

After opening:

The packaging must be closed tightly and kept in the refrigerator at the

temperature of 4oC.

The remaining product must be finished within 7 days. However, it is strongly

recommended to finish up the product once the pack is opened to ensure the

consumer get the best milk freshness.

CONCLUSION

Everyone wants to have a healthy life. One way to get it is by consuming

nutritious food such as milk. Milk is very good for our health because it consists

of many important substances needed by our body such as protein, carbohydrates,

vitamins, and minerals like Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphorus.
