My Role In Global Energy Future

A basic theory which should be known by every student is, of all things seen,

felt, and heard a series of physical feomena caused by the energy transfer.

Denition of energy can be very broad. In the eyes of the engineers, energy can be

interlocked with the terms of petroleum, electricity, heat, natural gas, and so forth.

In the eyes of the public, the energy could mean gasoline, diesel (diesel), pertama,

kerosene, batteries, and even food. According !""I (Dictionary of Indonesian),

energy means the ability to do work or power (strength) that can be used to

perform a variety of processes activities. "ut in general, the energy is that which

generates employment. If allowed to suppose, if such a thing as the energy is lost

once on earth, be it thermal energy, electricity, sound and more. #hat happened$

all things that should be in the scope of their respective work will suddenly stopfunctioning, the light that shines no longer produce light, the machine stopped

operating due to no supply of a batteries or electricalenergy.

%umans as a species would be the most energy consumer, all activities

undertaken by humans depending to the eistence of the energy itself. Along with

technological development, the global economy, as well as population growth,

logically people will continue to consume energy at a scale that will slowly getting

bigger over time. &nergy continues to be drained, such as the energy derived from

fossil such as coal and oil would reach the point of the last thing someday. 'he most

fundamental issues of this case is how human beings use energy as eciently aspossible or not in the form of largescale eploration, without giving adverse impact

on the environment at an a*ordable cost but with maimum results$

&perts have introduced many alternative energy sources that could

potentially replace the role of petroleum energy in the future.'hese energies are

environmentally friendly and renewable energy such as solar , geothermal , biomass

, biofuels , wind energy , and so forth .As part of Indonesian society , I personally

have not been able to contribute a lot in this regard ."ut I think of ways that is

simpler to carry out energy saving . +oreover, if not a way to save energy .'he

energy savings even though the concept is simple but if done together will certainly

produce a tremendous contribution to saving energy for the future some simpleapplication is like use energysaving electronic products,and turn the machine o*

when not in use .

And as an hemist I suggest the using of %ydrogen as an alternative energy.#hy

hydrogen$ -nlike other energy sources, hydrogen is much more ecofriendly as it

only releases water through vehicles combustion. "esides, we can easily get and

process it. As a matter of fact, the three positive impacts of hydrogen are saving

fossil fuel, reducing air pollution, and minimi/ing green house e*ect. 0ne of the

alternative energy that can be developed is hydrogen. %ydrogen is a kind of non

fosil alternative energy. 1%ydrogen can be produced from nuclear and reneweble

energy by a number of processes,such as water electrolysis, natural gas reforming,

gasication of coal and biomass, water splitting by hightemperature heat, photo
