Roles and Responsibilities:-

Look SATARA Cluster (715 Sites 2G &510 Sites 2G &310 Sites 4G) and overall activities related to planning and optimization.

GSM: Monitoring and improving network performance on Macro and Micro cells to provide QOS

to customers. Maintaining KPI (key performance indicators) of cluster; mostly focused on HOSR, TCH

Drop, SD Drop, TCH Blocking, SD Blocking, Rx DL UL Qual and RACH Failure Optimizing the network performance using Ericsson tools such as Radio Network

Optimization (RNO), Frequency Allocation System (FAS), Measurement Result Recording (MRR) and Cellular Network Administration.

Managing ABIS Optimization (Demand data channels) for increasing additional data timeslot to improve 2G Data Throughput.

Performing appropriate actions for worst performing cells which are having high TBF drop rate, congestion, and PDCH Over utilization. Weekly RF Parameter Audit.

UMTS: Monitoring of 3G KPIs on daily basis which includes Accessibility, Retain ability, Integrity

and Mobility. Preparing action plan and then execute actions to improve worst KPI cells. Capacity management and resource management at Node B level by implementing sector

splitting, CE upgrade, Power Upgrade, Code Upgrade, and Modulation Upgrade. Capacity management & traffic off loading at RNC level by implementing Sites Migrations. Suggesting and implementing the changes in parameters for better performance of the

network with a close periodic scrutiny. Support zonal Team for critical complaints related to 3G.

LTE: Antenna configurations, implemented PCI, PCI clashes, Azimuth, Hand over parameters prior to

the Drive test. Checking and rectify PCI swap, coverage and handover related issue. Performing LTE Pre launch and post launch network optimization TEMS drive analysis,

neighbour relation, and tilt and parameter optimization. LTE Network Launch & Cluster Optimization. Single site drive test, check site acceptance report format, drive test analysis.. LTE network launch and cluster optimization, making field level changes. Providing Drive routes to DT engineer using MAPINFO and also defining cluster boundaries. Carry out basic parameter checks such as RSRP, SINR, and Throughput during the Test.

Project Scope: At Ericsson I worked on VODAFONE 2G GSM AND 3G U900 & 2100 MHz Band project. The project included performing site survey, site planning, nominal cell planning, frequency planning, Cell Design Database (CDD) preparation, performance monitoring of upcoming sites, daily KPI monitoring, guiding survey team, site verification, Acceptance testing etc. I supervised a team of 5 performance engineers who provided comprehensive RF support in terms of RF planning, optimization & performance engineering. Apart from performing the above mentioned activities I also coordinated with the clients to discuss various network related, quality and coverage related issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:-2G (GSM):

Optimization of GSM sites based on coverage Rx level, Rx quality. Proposing new site after analysis of coverage issue. coverage by skewing sectors, down

tilt/up tilt, power increase/decrease by using better antenna gain Site auditing and verifying hardware, tilt, antenna height and orientation, according to the

site database Analyzed the drive test log files using Tems investigation. Find the swap, interference in the

sites during the optimization & resolve the swap .missing neighbours, soft handover using drive test data’s.

3G (U900 & UMTS): Drive Test and Optimization of U900 and UMTS sites based on coverage RSCP, Quality

Ec/No, pilot pollution, Missing neighbours, soft handover using drive test data’s. optimize to improve Ec/Io

(reduce pilot pollution) by improving   RSCP of dominant cells and reducing coverage (interference) of less dominant sectors through antenna tilt changes and power changes, thus rectify the overshooting sectors issues.

Checking co-scrambling code issues. Adding missing 3g-3g neighbours and deleting the long neighbours using scanner measurements. 2G GSM 900/1800 drive test, data Analyzer & field optimization: physical optimization of existing sites. Finding out the interference problem & rectify the same. Identify the reasons for TCH blocking, TCH drop & handover failures.

Primary verification of drive data and taking necessary corrective measures, like Neighbours, addition and deletion and interference analysis. Providing appropriate tilts (electrical /mechanical) to reduce the interference or improve the coverage.3 G drive test -HSDPA & HSUPA drive testing for checking throughput in network. HSDPA parameters like CQI, modulation etc.

To perform SCFT & Speed test.
