The car sound system, fitted with CD play-er, has been designed in accordance withthe special features of the passenger com-partment, with a personalised design that

blends with the style of the dashboard. Thesound system cannot be adapted to othervehicles and for this reason it cannot be re-moved.

The radio is installed in a user-friendly po-sition for the driver and passenger and thegraphics on the front panel make locationof the controls quick, facilitating use.

In the following pages you will find the in-

structions for use, which you are advisedto read through carefully.

Too high a volume when dri-ving can put the drivers life at

risk and that of other people. There-fore the volume should always be ad-justed in such a way that it is alwayspossible to hear the noises of the sur-rounding environment (e.g.: horns, am-bulance, police sirens, etc.).

    WARNING

    Care and maintenance

The radio structure ensures long opera-tion with no need for particular mainte-nance. In the event of a fault, contact a Fi-at Dealership.

To clean the front panel only use a soft, antistatic cloth. Cleaning and polishingproducts might spoil the surface.

    REG function(regional broadcast reception)

Certain national broadcasters, at deter-minate times of the day, transmit region-al programmes which differ from regionto region. This function makes it possibleto tune in only on local stations (region-al) (see paragraph EON function).

Activate this function if you want to tuneautomatically to regional stations broad-casting in the selected band.

To turn the function on/off use button or .

The display will show the current statusof the function:

    REG ON: function on.

    REG OFF: function off.

If the function is off and a regional pro-gramme is tuned that works in a deter-minate area and the car enters a differentarea, the regional station of the new areais received.

IMPORTANT If AF and REG are both ac-tive, when passing from one region to an-other the radio could not tune properly toa valid alternative frequency.

IMPORTANT In certain countries radiostations exist which, even if enabled, donot transmit traffic information.

If the radio is working in the AM band, when TA is activated, it passes to the FM1band on the last station heard.

The volume with which the traffic bulletin

is transmitted varies depending on the lis-tening volume:
