DESCRIPTION
This competition, titled “PAM-Lafarge Architect Student Competition 2013 in Designing Affordable Housing”, was initiated by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) and Lafarge Malaysia Berhad (Lafarge). Affordable housing is not about compromising on the quality of the products used and the construction builds. Instead, affordable housing is about reducing the cost of building through promoting construction efficiency by using the right construction methods, materials and solutions. Affordable housing also means housing that is sustainable – it should be environmentally friendly, energy efficiency, durable and capable of lasting through the generations.TRANSCRIPT
