he was born on August 6, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States. he was

American. he studied at Carnegie Institute of Technology (Carnegie Mellon University). Andy Warhol died on February 22, 1987 in new york, United States. Andy Warhol has

two Museums. Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburg in Pensylvania is the biggest Museum of American art. In 1991 Andy´s

brother John founded new Museum Modern art Andyho Warhola in Medzilaborce

in Slovakia.

In 1960, he created pictures of famous American drink Coca Cola

and Campbell´s Soup Cans.

In 1970 and 1980, he createdpictures of many celebrities such as

Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna and other.

Warhol´s art used many types of media, including hand drawing,

painting, printmaking, photography sculpture, film and music.

PErSonAl AnAlySIS: Why ThIS ArTIST?

Andy Warhol is my favorite painter. he was a very creative person. he loved fashion and art. In his work he used many types of techniques such as drawing, painting, photography

and other media. his life was very interesting and he enjoyed to be an artist. I really like his pictures because

they have lot of colors, positive mood and fun. I visited many times his museum in Medzilaborce in

Slovakia. My favorite picture by Andy is a colorful butterfly. When I look at this picture I get more inspiration and new ideas. his creation inspires many people who like art and

pop art.
