The Harper College Continuing Education (CE) and Lifelong Learning Institute enriches its diverse communities by providing quality, professional and accessible education and training. CE inspires the transformation of individual lives and society through excellence in program content and the learning environment, as well as comprehensive, need-driven programs and activities.
The Institute for Continued Learning at Roosevelt University (ICLRU) is a membership-based educational program for people ages 55 and over. ICLRU offers educational experiences with opportunities to meet interesting people. In addition to a variety of short-term study groups, ICLRU provides many cultural activities to engage and inspire.

Friendship Village has partnered with the continuing education programs at Harper College and Roosevelt University to bring you the 2017 Senior Conference “The Wellness Experience.”
The Wellness Experience hosts industry leaders and vendors in all aspects of wellness to provide resources for seniors to help them become more proactive in their wellness choices.
The Wellness ExperienceThe 2017 Senior Conference consists of a wellness fair featuring over 30 vendors focused on senior wellness, educational speaker sessions, delicious lunch and a presentation by keynote speaker Dr. Tom Sattler. Cost is $10 per person and includes a boxed lunch.

Pharmaceuticals: What the Consumer Needs to Know Presented by Peter Marron
Peter Marron, a retired Chemical Engineer with 38 years industrial experience, including 18 years with Searle Pharmaceuticals, will discuss his pharmaceutical experience, general industry concepts, FDA history and functions, prescriptions vs. over-the-counter drugs, risks with drugs recently approved by the FDA, and techniques for taking pills according to directions.
