The following project is a marketing plan of a new hand sanitizer product. Here we are
BIZLAQND Toiletries Limited .Our company has planned to launch a new product under our
“Antiseptic & Personal Care” brand “Sepnil” and the product is “Sepnil Hand Sanitizer”. This is
almost a new product in Bangladesh. Only “Reckkit Benkiser” produces hand sanitizer as the
product name “Dettol”. As there is only one competitor, it will be easier to enter into the market.
We can compete because our hand washing products offer a distinctive blend of quality, features,
benefits, service and value based pricing. We are aiming several segments in the consumer and
business market. Our plan is to capture the advantage of the increasing demand for more
featured, varied and exclusive hand sanitizer for everyone and also providing service, based on
consumer type.
This plan includes current market situation of cell phone industry in Bangladesh. To identify the
opportunities a SWOT analysis has been made. Financial & marketing objectives for 1st year are
given along with the target market. Positioning, product management, pricing, distribution
channels are also discussed.
The primary marketing objective is to achieve first-year Bangladesh market share of 10 percent
with unit sales of 1, 00,000. The primary financial objectives are to achieve first-year sales
revenues of Tk. 5, 02,500, keep first year losses to less than Tk. 1, 05,000 and break even in the
middle of second year.

BIZLAND Toiletries Ltd. started its journey in 2011 with a single product as a SEPNIL
of BIZLAND Toiletries. Currently, BTL is Carrying out its production in its two automated
plants at Shadarghaat and Ahsanmonjeel. Depending on the nature of products, formulation and
packaging, STL has product specific machinery. STL uses raw materials from the world
renowned suppliers like Dragoco, Firmeuich etc. STL always performs international standard
production process which follows the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

“Sepnil” is a brand of BTL. Under Sepnil BTL produces special hand wash that provides dual
function of cleaning invisible micro organisms and healing cuts and grazes. Now we are going to
lunch another product under “Sepnil” and that is “Sepnil Hand Sanitizer”.

Hand Sanitizer: A hand sanitizer or hand antiseptic is a supplement or alternative to hand
washing with soap and water. No need to use water while using hand sanitizer. It prevents the
transmission of dangerous diseases. It kills many different kinds of bacteria, including antibiotic
resistant bacteria and TB bacteria.
Sepnil Hand Sanitizer also provides dual function of cleaning invisible micro organisms and
healing cuts and grazes. Not only that, unlike hand wash it eases& shorten the time required by
the process of cleaning hands. It does not require water to clean hands, thus it saves water too.
Sepnil Hand Sanitizer can clean germs in seconds. Just like Drop, Rub & Clean.

BTL found that in the recent few years the hand wash users of Bangladesh are increasing. The market looks on boom and is also lucrative. The chance to provide hand wash service to the market has increased to a great extent. Also, the company’s study suggests amongst soap and hand wash user are the conscious part of Bangladesh. BTL observes that the users most of time use normal soap and hand wash which didn’t perform the proper need. Moreover, the number of hand wash and soap users is increasing of with the gradual increasing use of rural areas, so, the scope to serve the users is increasing. Parents pay a high inters in their child .And, they prefer search different and quality washing materials. Additionally using soap and existing hand wash needs water to wash hand but our product Sepnil didn’t and it also reduce the misuse of water.

not that good as they do not promote hand sanitizer as like as their other product.

Yet we can compete with our product variety and some unique offers. But at first
we need to determine the specific benefits and features it is planning to offer to
specific customers.
d. At present the hand sanitizer market in Bangladesh is at its growth stage. Only
one competitor exists in this market. But these products hardly offer any variety.
Competition is from Dettol due to their brand equity. Our main challenge will be

BTL has several strength on which to launch, but our major weakness is lack of much awareness and lack hand wash user people. The major opportunity is only one competitor and lower price than it. In competition with other competitor, we are differentiating us by offering more quality and
extra features within an affordable cost. Our competitors’ products are able to protect form germ,
but we are here for not only protect and clean germ but to satisfy markets’ want and expectation
more than any other companies.
Though ReckkitBenkiser is dominating the current hand sanitizer market, Sapnil hand sanitizer
can bend out a specific image and gain acknowledgment among the targeted markets with its

D. DISTRIBUTION :
For distributing our product, we are using person to person sales and also engaging some
channels for expanding our sales and market coverage. And we also want to distribute our
product in superstores and general stores around Dhaka and other cities of Bangladesh. Our
target is to make our product available in every superstores and general stores within 2 or 3
months by our distributors in whole Bangladesh. To remove channel conflict we will do some
activities, for example our distributors will be selected and limited because of having some
control over the product. There may be more than one distributor but their area of distribution
will be strictly maintained. There will be no chance of charging extra price by the distributors
since strict monitoring will be done on a regular basis.

hygiene. We are targeting those who are health conscious but not getting perfect product for
them.
Kids or Health Conscious Mothers/ Parents: Health is a sensitive issue for kids. Every
mother wants to assure that their children are safe from any kinds of diseases. And diseases
are caused by GERMS. Especially kids often lick their fingers and this the reason they
caught by different kind of diseases. So we are offering different flavored hand sanitizers for
kids. By using our product mothers can keep their kids germ free and they can use our
product very easily because our product is useable without water. Our product will be very
friendly for children’s delicate skin.
Women: They always want to remain clean and safe. Women are really conscious about
their skin. They want something that have nice smell and color. We are offering our
products in different fragrances and color for women. So we assume women will adopt our
product.
Men: They always remain busy with different kinds of work. So they get a little time to
look after themselves. Men always want something is tough and masculine. Keeping these
factor in mind we are offering our product for men which have a masculine feeling and
tough fragrance.
Working People/Outdoor People: These people stay very busy with their work. So to
protect themselves from germs they want something which is quick and easy to use. So our
product will be suitable for them because we will offer portable tubes and mini packets for
them with different fragrances.
Household Users: These people various things in their usual life. At many times they fresh and
wash them after doing several works so our product will be suitable for them we have many types
and sizes products with merging their purpose.
Corporations:Many employees work in different organization. Every day in office they need
to wash their hands for several reasons. So this can be a huge market for us. If we can go for
a contract with some organization then we can offer them our product in a special rate. We
will provide them our mega size bottles and also supply them containers to keep our hand

April: In March, we plan to be the sponsor of Pahela Baisakh at Jagannath University and arrange concerts towards rural towns in Bangladesh.
May: In May, we will continue our promotional activities TV ads and Radio ads along with SEO.

Sepnil’smarketing strategies are primarily aimed at increasing market share
and establish the=brand more dynamically. To implement the strategy we considered a unique
product strategy and an extensive promotional strategy. Proper packaging, positioning, pricing
and distribution strategy will also assist us to execute our strategy.

For distributing our product, we are using person to person sales and also engaging some
channels for expanding our sales and market coverage. And we also want to distribute
our product in superstores and general stores around Dhaka and other cities of
Bangladesh. Our target is to make our product available in every superstores and general
stores within 2 or 3 months by our distributors in whole Bangladesh. To remove channel
conflict we will do some activities, for example our distributors will be selected and
limited because of having some control over the product. There may be more than one
distributor but their area of distribution will be strictly maintained. There will be no
chance of charging extra price by the distributors since strict monitoring will be done on
a regular basis.
Promotion
BIZLAND Toiletries Ltd will create an advertising campaign for Sepnil to build brand awareness and differentiate the product from competitors; emphasizes on trade sales promotion to support distribution strategy and to develop a high-profile product-launch strategy to generate publicity and media coverage.

day is the world hand wash day, we will launch new product, new feature, arrange concert , make outdoor activities, making ad on it and promoting TV shows like “ Shastho Shurokkha”.
