Our first edition of the new year is always an extra special one for us. It involves recapping activities that marked the previous year and sets the tone at the onset of a brand new year.

The latest edition of NewsWire affirms that Pakistan Cables ended 2019 on a high note. We won the ‘14th Consumer Choice Award’, ‘Best Corporate Report Award’ and ‘FPCCI’s Merit Export Award’ for the fourth time in a row .

While we battled macro-economic challenges impacting our business, we continued to shine by creating opportunities within the category. Pakistan Cables e-store launched in September, making it Pakistan’s first e-commerce platform within the wire and cable industry. It created a new channel for consumers seeking hassle free ways of purchasing general wiring directly from us.

Rewarding loyalists through the Loyalty Club led to sharing true success stories and developing meaningful relationships with our customers. You can read about, ‘Shahbash Ustaad’, a unique program that rewards valued members and celebrates their success. The ‘Shahbash Ustaad’ experience was a memorable one for all of us because it allowed members to inspire others. More importantly, we highlighted the unsung heroes of our industry through the initiative.

On that note, I would also like to add that Pakistan Cables, too, has its own set of heroes. A super proud moment for all of us was lifting the winner’s trophy, for the first time at the ‘Amir S. Chinoy’ Cricket Tournament, Well-done team!

We also made progress on the CSR initiatives and despite the rising cost of doing business, we remain committed to being proactive and good corporate citizens.

These are only some of the highlights the second half of 2019. We are half way through our financial year 2020, by the looks we remain on a winning streak.With the team’s dedication and hard work, we will carry on with the same momentum and close at a fruitful FY2020.

‘Shahbash Ustaad’ is a first of its kind platform launched in the industry specifically targeting electricians. The program recognizes existing Pakistan Cables Loyalty Club members electrician as role models for others. Four (04) members selected based on their highest number of points during the past one year from Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan. Rewards included activities with the members and their respective families, which included shopping visits to malls and dinner with the Pakistan Cables team. The activity generated tremendous buzz around the brand. Numerous news channels aired the media briefing, press releases also featured in newspapers and magazines.

PAKISTAN CABLES WINS FPCCI MERIT EXPORT AWARD FOR THE 4TH TIME IN A ROW

“Points Jama Karao Jeet Yaqeeni Banao”, the first loyalty club promotion conducted during Sep-Oct 2019. The promotion attracted an overwhelming response from over 80 cities by existing and new members. The promotion was supported by poster deployment across retail. In addition, Market activities also conducted in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar.

Upon completion of the promotion, Seventeen (17) lucky draw winners across sixteen (16) cities announced and awarded prizes during November-December 2019. Grand prize included UAE return tickets and other prizes included Suzuki 150s, Honda CD-70s, Generators, Split Acs, Laptops.

Pakistan Cables won the 43rd FPCCI Merit Export Award organized by the FPCCI at a ceremony held at the Governor House in Karachi. The Chief Guest at the occasion was the honorable President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, who conferred the award to Mr. Fahd K. Chinoy, CEO, Pakistan Cables Limited. 2018-19 Merit Export Awaard is the company’s 4th consecutive win, making it the only cable manufacturer to be awarded in the exports category consecutively. The Company has previously won the export award during 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18.

PAKISTAN CABLES WINS THE 7TH FPCCI ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT IN PAKISTAN

Pakistan Cables won the 7th FPCCI Achievement award. The award was presented to Mr. Rao Salman GM Sales Pakistan Cables Limited from Governor Sindh Mr. Imran Ismail.

The award is for the technological advancement in power transmission systems by introducing a revolutionary technology, ACCC® conductors, for the first time in Pakistan. Aluminum Composite Core Conductors or ACCC®, launched by Pakistan Cables in collaboration with CTC Global Inc., US.

Pakistan Cables won the Consumers’ Demand award at the 14th Consumers’ Choice Awards 2019 ceremony organized by the Consumers Association of Pakistan, held at a local hotel. The Chief Guest, Mr. Khalid Maqbool, Federal Minister of Information Technology presented Mr. Fahd K. Chinoy, CEO Pakistan Cables the award in presence of Mr. Kaukab Iqbal, Chairman Consumers Association of Pakistan and Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Senior Vice President FPCCI.

Four hundred (400) Lifestraws® distributed in Nushki, Balochistan by HELP Balochistan, where water is a scarce resource. The drive was supported by Pakistan Cables as part of its CSR initiative. Approximately 400 families benefited from the device, which helps clean water.

PAKISTAN CABLES WINS 8TH AMIR CHINOY CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2019 Pakistan Cables Warriors won the 8th Amir Chinoy Cricket Tournament for the first time. Pakistan Cables Warriors outperformed Intermark’s Knight Riders.

Intermark Knight Riders played well but fell short in the final match. It is worth mentioning that they performed well throughout the tournament so they deserve heartiest congratulations for a being Runner-up.�

Pakistan Cables signed an MoU with NOWPDP to support its strategic initiatives for empowering persons with different ablities. In addition to sponsoring the training centre established at the NOWPDP Head Office in Karachi, as part of the MoU, Pakistan Cables has also sponsored the first Inclusion Academy, a model school targeting child education specifically for children with different ablities.
