Tualatin Celebrates the 20th Annual ArtSplash Art Show and Sale

ArtSplash Art Show and Sale has been one of the most anticipated summer events in Tualatin for the past twenty years! From July 24 through 26 large white canopies will be set up next to the sparkling lake of the Tualatin Commons to create the perfect setting for this juried art show. ArtSplash features Northwest artists showcasing their works in jewelry, watercolor, oil, acrylic, wood, ceramic, glass, and fiber.

The goal of ArtSplash, presented by the Tualatin Arts Advisory Committee, is to encourage and promote local artists, expose the community to a wide range of artistic experiences, and encourage interaction between artists and the community. Proceeds from the event go to support the public arts in Tualatin.

While art is the focus of the weekend, there will be a lot of additional happenings throughout the three days! Friday night’s Concert on the Commons will feature R&B great Curtis Salgado. Saturday kids can create their own project to take home in the free kids’ art tent. That evening shoppers will be entertained by the New Horizons Big Band of Tualatin and the Movie on the Commons,

Finding Nemo, will start at dusk. The Tualatin Public Library will be hosting Chalk It Up with chalk artist Daniel Wood on Sunday. Adults and kids of all ages can find their inner artist by creating a chalk masterpiece on the Commons. An exciting addition to Sunday’s activities will be a preview to the Crawfish Festival. Stop by between 10am and 3pm to buy a crawfish lunch! For more information about ArtSplash and to get a preview of the participating artists visit www.tualatinoregon.gov/recreation.
