EASTER SUNDAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD SOLEMNITY

ALLELUIA, HE IS RISEN. TRULY HE IS RISEN

The significance of the empty tomb was seemingly beyond the comprehension of Peter and Mary Magdalen. It was the beloved apposite John, who understood the implication. He saw and

believed. When we trust whole-heartedly in Christ, we witness things that seemingly defy human comprehension. Easter is evidence of that. The love of the cross triumphs over sin and death. From humiliation, brutality and pain come redemption and salvation. Alleluia indeed!

Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed." - Jn 20:28-29

ST VINCENT De PAUL THANKS YOU

During the past year, you have brought comfort and peace to many of our parishioners by your support of the St. Vincent de Paul society. Thank you to all those who so generously donated to the annual Easter food drive. Your thoughtfulness made the holiday much more enjoyable for many of your fellow parishioners and neighbors.

HANNA’S SOCKS

Thank you for your contributions to Hanna’s Socks. The less fortunate members of our community are very appreciative of your continuous generosity.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES

At Catholic Charities, we rejoice with you today in the Resurrection of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ! We also want to thank you for following the example of Appeal Patron St. Nicholas and “finding good wishes” to be a beacon of hope for those we serve. By giving generously to the 2016 Appeal in support of Catholic Charities, you demonstrate that you are a part of a generous community that is always there for our neighbors in need, just as St. Nicholas was for the poor and sick. Find Good Within. Open hearts follow Jesus’ lead. Thank you for your continued support of the 2016 Appeal.

Don’t forget to get your envelopes for our monthly 50/50 split club. Envelopes are available at all entrances of the church. Good Luck!!

ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY

Today as we celebrate the feast of Easter we find the challenge of also seeing and believing the resurrection that comes through our own lives of self-sacrifice which brings new life to others. . As you place your gift in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Poor Box, know that you are a sign of God’s love to those who carry their cross of suffering and pain.
