All of the people who come in through these sorts of programs are worthwhile employees; they work side-by-side with our other employees doing the same tasks and producing the same output. It is truly rewarding for everyone.”

Rebekah Klein is an incredibly generous girl who is served by the GCBDD! This month, Rebekah donated 10 inches of her hair to create wigs for children who cannot naturally grow hair, either due to genetic conditions or disease. This is the third time Rebekah has donated her hair.

The cut was done by Amanda Rodhe at SiSu Salon. SiSu is located in Shaker Heights. Amanda did not charge Rebekah for cutting her hair because she, too, is passionate about helping people with hair loss. SiSu does all the work to submit the donation and sends the hair to several different charities, including Wigs for Kids, Locks of Love and Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Rebekah has a beautiful new bob, and another child will have a new head of hair that he or she can show off. We are very proud of her!
