- Today, it has grown into a 60 bedded Orthopaedic, Trauma, Rehabilitation with focus on Trauma, Spine & Joint Replacement.

a) First Ilizarov fixator operation done in Pune in Sassoon General Hospital. b) First Interlocking Tibial Nail done in Pune in Sassoon General Hospital. c) First Steffee Plating done for fracture spine in Sassoon General Hospital. d) First Transthoracic Anterior Fusion done for TB Spine in Sassoon General Hospital,

Pune. e) First Hartshill rectangle with sublaminar wiring done for fixation of fracture spine in

Sassoon General Hospital, Pune. SOCIAL SERVICES :. f) Have held 75 free camps for disabled children in rural areas of Maharashtra in

which more than 5000 children are examined. 1500 children operated free of cost so far. Also Free Camps for Spastic, Spine, Shoulder, Knee Patients.

g) Surgical Rehabilitation of spastic children. 150 Gait analysis done. 50 surgeries done free of charge.
