Work to do
• Consider FPU structural analysis (KT) with respect to vibration loads for the
chopper
• Implementation of “PACS black color” for the chopper
– First test on LM spare cover– Qualification for QM, FM, FS (MPE)
• Formal agreement with MPE for proposed QM/FM test procedures (#axes, temperature level)

Conclusion• Features of promising MPIA prototype nearly
fully adopted in Chopper design of Zeiss Specs to be achieved
• Optimized choice of materials, dimensions, linkage to be verified in LM and QM tests industrial QA guarantees outcomeof a space qualified system
• Interface to warm electronics nearly specifiedminor effort to fix cable routingand launch lock details
• Start of cold lifetime tests in June 2001• QM to be delivered in October 2001
