Carton liners, also known as box liners, tub liners or crate liners, are a plastic barrier used to package fresh foods. Polyethylene Liners (HDPE + LDPE) are most commonly used in cardboard cartons as they minimise microbial and physical contamination, and ensure liquid from the food product does not damage the outer packaging.

Highgate Group offers both High Density (HDPE) and Low Density (LDPE) polyethylene carton liners. Both styles are recyclable.

• Mostly used for produce or meat without bones.• Available in clear & blue on rolls.• Available in clear, blue, yellow, green & pink flat packed.• Gusseted to create a perfect fit in the carton.

In conditions of 25°C with 90% relative humidity, the absorption rate of Thermoshield High Absorption Container Desiccant Strips can reach up to 280% - far superior to most other container desiccants on the market.

The Thermoshield Advantage

Thermoshield High Absorption Container Desiccant Strips will absorb water vapor rapidly, so as to control the relative humidity inside the container. This high performance container desiccant was developed to control humidity by effectively absorbing vapour and moisture in the atmosphere to prevent product spoilage, corrosion and rust.

During shipping, containers experience radical temperature and climate fluctuations, which often results in “Container Rain”.

Container Rain is caused by moisture in the air (humidity). As the air in the container settles, the moisture condenses in colder areas of the container. When the container heats up again, the condensed water expands and rises to the top of the container, clinging to the walls and ceiling. As temperatures increase, the moisture climbs up the interior of the container before dripping down as Container Rain.
