ABS Holdings enterprises more than 50 years operate in the electrical markets of Europe, Asia, Africa and the CIS countries. They manufacture a wide range of LV and HV equipment success-fully used in power utilities, metal, building, mining, gas and oil, railroad industries and municipal transport facilities.
Based on multiyear experience and production possibili-ties the Holdings is successfully implementing turn-key solutions and executing general contractor functions.
Samples of products are subject to testing and certification. Products have high service reliability.
Current distributor and busbar design and production is local-ized in “VNIIR” JCS. The enterprise includes R&D division equipped with the most up-to-date design facilities. High quality of current distributors and busbars is attained by the use of high-perform-ance equipment manufactured by russian and west companies, e.g. «SCODA», «WAYTRAIN, SAHINLER», «IPM2», «PRINCING», «SELKO», «KOIKE ARONSON INC.», «FIRO», «Donpressmash» etc. This equipment allows the manufacturer to roll-form screens of 360-1500mm diameter with length up to 3000mm and stiffen-ing rings to reinforce rigidity of the structure. Automated welding stations allow to make unattended linear and girth welded seams.
Isolator point tightness is achieved due to special rubber gaskets with 10÷15 % compression set, providing functionality of assemblies up to 20 years. Screens and current distributor buses are painted by powder paints providing reliable protection from weather impacts and high me-chanical resistance of the coat.
Up-to-date processing equipment, availability of skilled designers and employees provide manufacturing of high grade multipurpose cur-rent distributors (including customer-tailored).
Depending on requirements specification current distributors and
busbars can be packaged with different electric equipment: - ТШ, ТШВ, ТШЛ, GSR, IGWG doughnut current transformers; - ЗНОЛ, ЗНОЛП, UGE voltage transformers; - РВЭ, РВРД, РВМ, РВС, РВО, Siemens surge arresters; - ОПН, Siemens voltage suppressors; - triple pole earthing switches; - РВП3, РВР3, РРЧ3, Р3Ч etc. disconnectors; - ИП etc. Wall-tube insulators; - switchgear bays; - ПСН panels or КТПСН-0.5 cabinets.

Family ТЭНЕ 1600-2400A, 6, 10, 20, 24, 27, 35kV phase-screened current distributors with compensated external EMF are designed to provide electric connections in power utilities, in up to AC 1500MW 50Hz three-phase turbo-generator circuits with step-up, auxiliary con-verter and thyristor excitation transformers as well as in substations
providing connection between power and auxiliary transformers and switchgears. Generator voltage current distributors can be also used in other branches of industry and power engineering, transport and agriculture.

1.4. Features of current distributor composition
This type of current distributors are mounted in power utilities and substations providing great power distribution. The distribu-tors have long-time serviceability and meet the highest reliability requirements.
Enclosed phase-screened current distributor structure fea-tures:
- eliminate possibility of phase-to-phase short-circuiting due to foreign objects and staff access to current-carrying parts;
- current distributor shield-screens and busbars have linear di-lation compensators for temperature changes compensation;
- current distributors are all-welded except for turbo-generator, transformer and switch tapping;
- current distributor is an electrodynamically stable device;- external magnetic field of the current distributor is compen-
sated. The compensation is attained by connecting shield-screens with jumpers and grounding corresponding route sections;
- detachable contact joints Al/Cu are manufactured of highly reliable transient contacts;
- current distributors are dustproof;- support isolators are proof to dew and frost precipitation. In case
of necessity the isolators can be easily changed without screen disas-sembling;
- distributor inner space is protected from capacitive discharges (sparking) due to special rod contacts.
- current distributor construction provides possibility to remove hydrogen leakages from generator terminals non-tightness points;
- shield-screens are fastened to transverse beams by detachable isolated clams avoiding possibility of induced currents circulation over structural units;
- beams are welded to the structural units;- insulation resistance measurement in screen/transverse beam at-
tachment point is provided without structure demounting;- current distributor screening contributes greatly to reduction of
adjacent metal and concrete structures;- shield-screen-generator and transformer tapping points elimi-
nate possibility of induced currents.
1.5. Current distributor structure
1.5.1 6, 10, 20kV ТЭНЕ current distributors (Figure 1.1).ТЭНЕ family current distributors are manufactured in phase-
screened version. Each phase consists of current-carrying bus 1 of corresponding shape, shield-screen 2 and isolator 3. The bus is fixed to caps bolted to the shield-screens. Max insulator spacing is 3m
1.5.2 20, 24, 27, 35kV ТЭНЕ family current distributors (Figure 1.2).Each phase consists of alumina busbar 1 and alumina cylinder
shield-screen 2. The bus is centered and fastened in the shield-screen by insulators 3 placed at 120°.

Requirement-specified current distributors can be outfitted with the following equipment and instruments:
- doughnut current transformers; voltage transformers; surge arresters; - three-pole earthing devices; disconnectors; wall-entrance isolators etc.
Depending on the route geometry and integrated equipment ТЭНЕ-type current distributors can include:
- rectilinear sections;- angular, Т-and Z-shaped sections;- sections with integrated equipment: voltage transformers; cur-

1.7. electric equipment integrated in generator voltage current distributors
Doughnut current transformers are delivered integrated into the shield-screens. ABS VNIIR deliver special control cabinets for instal-lation of sections with earthing devices and drives.

6 and 10kV, 4000A current distributors serve to provide elec-tric connection between transformers and packaged switchgear cabinets as well as between turbo-generators and step-up trans-
formers mounted in three-phase AC 50-60Hz circuits. Enclosed current distributors can also be used in other power facilities, transportation, industry, agriculture etc.

ТЗК and ТЗКР current distributors for 6 and 10kV voltage.Current distributors consist of enclosure 1 common for three
phases and conductor lines 2 having corresponding shape and sec-tion. The lines are fixed to insulators 3 inside enclosure by verti-
ces of equilateral triangle with special line clamps. ТЗКР type current distributors are produced with phase-to-phase metal barriers 4. Barri-ers are designed to avoid one-phase enclosure fault transition into a phase-to-phase fault.

10 kV; 3150, 3600А ТЗМПЭ current distributors.ТЗМПЭ current distributors have phase-screened design. Each
phase consists of corresponding section conductor line 2, shield-
screen 1 and insulators 3. The conductor line is fixed on the insula-tor with a special clamp. The insulators are fixed on cover 4 bolted to the cover-screen.

Current distributors are supplied in sections of 6m long (max). On site the sections are joined and gas-shielding welded. Depending on configuration and application current distributors are divided in the fol-lowing sections:

3.1. application
ШЗК-1.2 DC 1.2 kV; 2000, 4000, 5000A enclosed busbars are designed to provide electric connection between energizers and up to 1200MW generator operation and redundant excitation panels at electric utilities. ШЗК-0.4 380V AC 50Hz 1600A enclosed busbars
with metal enclosure common for three phases are designed to provide electrical connection between auxiliary transformers rated to 1000kVar with panels (ПСН) and auxiliary package transformer substation cubi-cles (КТПСН-0, 5) in electric utilities.

ШЗК-1,2 busbar has two U-type buses of corresponding sec-tion inside, and ШЗК-0,4 busbar has three U-type buses of cor-responding section inside of enclosure by vertices of equilateral tri-
angle. Buses are fixed to support insulators 3 with special line clamps. Support insulators are fixed to covers 4 bolted to the enclosure 2 with through rubber sealing gaskets.

generaL teCHniCaL Conditions and reguLations ConCerning aLL tYPes oF Current distributors and busbars
4.1. operation conditions
Current distributors and busbars refer to «УХЛ» and «У» climatic version; 1; 3 usage category (ГОСТ15150-69, ГОСТ 15151-69, ГОСТ 15543.1-89, and ГОСТ 17412-72), and II atmospheric pattern. As to environmental mechanic exposure the current distributors and bus-bars refer to group M6 (generator voltage current distributors refer to group M6) according to GOST (ГОСТ) 17516.1-90. Current distributors and busbars have IP54, IP55 protection grade (ГОСТ 14254). Genera-
tor tapped generator voltage current distributor enclosures are al-lowed to have vent holes. Earthquake-proof current distributors and busbars provide failure-free operation to 9 points of MSK-64 scale being mounted at 10 meters height and to 8 points of MSK-64 scale being mounted at 25 meters (ГОСТ 17516.1-90). Current distribu-tors and busbars are designed for installation at 1000m altitude (it is permitted to install them above 1000m).

4.3. Marking
On one of the sections in generator or transformer or switchgear cabinet tapping point the nameplate is fixed, or in the other places indicated in technical documentation. The nameplate includes:
- manufacture trademark;- conformity mark;- symbols;
- technical specifications;- rated voltage;- rated current;- protection grade according to GOST 14254-96;- job number;- year of manufacturing.

4.4. delivery set completeness
Every current distributor and busbar delivery set includes:- components according to the route assembly drawing or de-
livery list of given order;- spare parts, tools and equipment according to SPTE list (upon
customer requirement).
Attached documents set made in duplicate includes:- delivery list;- assembly drawings set of current distributor route;
- technical description and operation manual;- SPTE list (upon customer requirement);- passport (one copy).
Transportation documentation is packed in damp-proof material and put into place N 1 or sent by post.
Current distributors and busbars for export are contract-tailored.
4.5. Manufacturer warranty
Guarantee period is 3 years from the day of commissioning and 3.5 years from the date of manufacture.
Export warranty period is 1 year from the day of commissioning and 2 years from the date of crossing Russia State Border.
reQuireMents to Current distributor and busbar design ParaMeters
Factory provides manufacturing of current distributors indicated in this paper. The factory is capable to produce current distributors and busbars upon customer requirements.
For current distributor route sections where it is not possible to use standard components the factory is capable to design customer-tailored distributors.
The design parameters should include:- route drawing (in disnefied form). The drawing should indicate
elevations and references to construction lines, rectilinear and vertical route section sizes; angular deflections, all necessary cross-sections and other parameters determining current distributor in space;
- layout of sections with integrated equipment;- list of required electric equipment and instruments included in
the scope of supply including types, quantity and manufacturer;- electric equipment parameters to be tapped to the current dis-
tributor (generator, transformer, circuit breakers, switchgears) etc. not included in the scope of supply.
It is necessary to indicate manufacturer of the equipment to be tapped to the current distributor or provide mounting drawings..
Possible differences between description of current distributor structure and actual version indicate constant improvement of the structure, not affecting tapping parameters, performance, reliability and security.
This information can be provided in drawings or drafts on the design parameter drawings of the route.
The design parameter should be approved by the manufacturer of the current distributors.
