Ward 3 and the City

Greetings to Ward 3 Residents:

I trust you are enjoying this fabulous summer weather which, as I am writing this, I realize will come to a close all too soon as we wel-

come fall.

For those of you with children or grandchildren, have you had the chance to check out the PotashCorp Playland at Kinsmen Park? The

Canpotex Train continues to be a park favourite along with the carousel and the ferris wheel. This continues to be a great place to spend

the day with the family, just as I did when I was a kid growing up in Saskatoon.

Work will continue throughout the fall on our roadways and sidwalks. Road closures are an inconvenience but the work that is being

done will be appreciated in the long run. We are long overdue to have our roadways brought back up to an acceptable state. It will not

happen overnight, but with our long-term planning that has been put into place, our roadways will be in much better condition than they

have been for a long time. Please remember to slow down in construction zones.

The Circle Drive South bridge has been officially named the “Gordie Howe

Bridge” in honour of our very own hockey legend. We will be seeking

consultation from the community to find a permanent name for the

North Commuter Parkway bridge (which is on schedule to be completed

by October of 2018). A name will be chosen that meets the criteria in the

Truth and Reconciliation calls to action.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate

to contact me at [email protected] or at 306.380.6870.

Warmest Regards,

Ann Iwanchuk

City Councillor, Ward 3

Why Volunteer?

Did you know that without a Community Association we wouldn’t have access to affordable recreational or

soccer programs in our neighbourhood, City of Saskatoon grants for community rinks and programs,

or events like Fun Night, Family Movie Night or a Community Garage Sale?

Did you know that your community association is made up entirely of volunteers?

We’d love for you to join the Pacific Heights Community Association! Email [email protected]
