Q5: WHAT IS …SOLARIZE WESTCHESTER?

Solarize Westchester has two complementary programs:

1. Solar-friendly Permitting and Zoning effort will help Westchester municipalities design and implement regulations in their communities that encourage residential and commercial installations of solar energy systems in a manner that is safe and consistent with local and state construction codes and zoning rules.

2. Solarize Community Campaigns in which the Solarize Westchester Team will assist local communities to select competitively chosen solar

photovoltaic (“PV”) installers to make residential and small commercial solar energy more accessible and affordable for residents and businesses in participating municipalities.

Q5: WHAT IS …SOLARIZE WESTCHESTER?

Solarize Westchester has two complementary programs:

1. Solar-friendly Permitting and Zoning effort will help Westchester municipalities design and implement regulations in their communities that encourage residential and commercial installations of solar energy systems in a manner that is safe and consistent with local and state construction codes and zoning rules.

2. Solarize Community Campaigns in which the Solarize Westchester Team will assist local communities to select competitively chosen solar

Goal: 400 new installations under contract by January

2016:~ 50 in each of 8 Solarize Community Campaigns
